There's a +2 charisma buff in Music
All the cool things go into the new skills, old skills should get some lovin too! friends.gif

That makes me think it isn't going to be cha dependent for strength. Dependent on ego, sure.

unless dex food stacks? unsure.gif

Con food does not stack with herofetes, so dex food won't either. Herofete gives the buffs "Your str/con/int/dex/cha is enhanced by fine food." Con food gives the buff, "Your con is enhanced by fine food." and dex food gives the buff, "Your dex is enhanced by fine food."

Not only that, the latest buff you get that has a certain line *overwrites* the previous one when it comes to how soon the buff will fade. Herefete buffs last two IC days. Dex/Con food buffs last one IC day. So, if you eat con food just after a herofete, your con buff will fade sooner than it would if you didn't eat the con food. I found that one out the hard way.

Wait, back up.

Bards have an INSTANT TUMBLE?

Hooray. I'm never going to be able to kill a single bard who isn't hopelessly incompetent. sleep.gif

Well, in all reality, its just as easy for you to walk away from them tongue.gif

But it has a longer balance recovery than normal tumble, so it balances out, really.

Not really. No bard should ever die to inquisition/soulless, which is generally my primary method of killing.

Has anyone tested how much of a bonus the 'get out of entanglements quicker' is? Is it going to be pointless to try for a saplock on bards?

Don't try to inquisition a bard who is performing a handstand?

Well, thornlash doesn't depend so much on writhing. If they do, its good for us. It's more about stealing balance/eq and keeping them unable to ignite.

Are you talking about Contort or Spiderlegs?

Contort costs 250 mana and is hardly any faster. I'm not sure what its meant for, exactly.

Spiderlegs is Harbinger only.. and yeah.. its pretty good.

Err, how have you been thornlash killing? I've been using it with darkseed to stack the lashes so I can get enough on them to bleed them for a ton every time treelife/treebane ticks tongue.gif

It looks like it's going to be pointless to try just about ANYTHING on bard.

And yet all you have to do is eat and herb or sip a poison to shut a bard down completely.

Sounds about right tongue.gif

I suspect the tetrodin poison will be given a balance soon enough, which is going to suck for getting the anatine defence. Either that or blank note is going to be changed so that it prevents deafness for a little while.

I don't think it will shut them down completely either, both tarot and ecology have reasonably useful offensive skills.

I hope Bards can't use greatrobes.

Someone really needs to clarify if they can be used with Acrobatics. I know the general idea is to use them for hunting only. unsure.gif

Tell that to the guy who needs to have them entangled for one of his three instakills. tongue.gif
Just hope the writhing doesn't work for crucify, or I'll be left with soulless...which they can tumble out of.

...I am going to burn all bard guildhalls.

Greatrobes work just fine with acrobatics.
Mirk2006-10-13 00:29:03
since bards can use illusions, what happens if they try to use that illusory terrain thingy?
Daganev2006-10-13 01:53:59
Bards won't die, but they won't kill either... like tae'dae!
