Oh, by the way, I forgot to respond to Ethelon claiming that people leave MY system because of the bugs. Clearly false. I'll guarentee that that's never and will never happen.

This is a case of Ethelon spinning the truth. I'm willing to bet credits that the only people that transferred to Ethelon's system were the people on the Murphster in the interem time between Murphy leaving and myself picking it up. These are NOT people on the Ciaran system.

The system I sell is NOT murphies old system, it uses the derelect features in his parry system, but Murphy's system pales in comparison to my system's mechanics. I've redone the parrying triggering/scanning to reduce lag, and it's 100% completely different from murphies.

I've added and edited every herb/salve/elixir/healing/balance scan there is, and I've redone the writhing climbing as well.

As others have said... you don't SERIOUSLY believe that 989 downloads means 989 people actually use it / have used it, do you? I know a large number of those were people who ripped it for affliction lines, as it's been suggested very often in the past on these forums (and if they're ripping affliction lines, they aren't using the system at all, just taking advantage of some assistance you offered).

That's not to say your system's bad or good (I don't know, I don't use mushclient and thus haven't tested it), but you're seriously overestimating its spread and use if that's your only proof of that number.

The entire reason I even said anything was due to Ciaran talking shit behind my back. He decided to remark about his "skills" and how his system is better. I was merely answering to his remarks, though atleast I do it OOC and not IC as he did with other players. I wasn't lieing when I said players have stopped using your system and have switched over to mine. Infact, it was due to you being slow of fixing a problem that was irritating them and thus they bought mine.

Sorry for saying it's Murphy's system if that's all you took from his, I guess the whole Thorla/Murphy/Ciaran system kind of threw me off.

There is nothing wrong with adding to a system. My remarks were against you talking shit about me and my coding when I've actually worked for years on my coding and you haven't. I NEVER said my system was better than yours, open your eyes and learn to read.

I've been open about what I've said and I don't min backing them, but it's pretty low to talk about someone and then act as if they are to blame when it's brought to light.

I have no reason to spin the truth, considering I'm not trying to say my system is better, I may have been overboard with my remark about the crowning achievments, but I made that remark on guest and couldn't change it once I read it and saw what it looked like.

To Xenthos, I understand that alot of people DL'd that just to rip lines. Before I posted that, I sent out hundreds of systems via email before. I only posted numbers because Anisu claimed I created a number off hte top of my head, when infact there is a base for what I said. I know that 1.2k players don't use my system. The Free system wasn't that great, it was there to HELP new players get into the game and learn off of. My words may have been wrong, but it's not my intention to mislead or lie here. Why do I give two-shits if someone buys Ciarans system over mine?

Anyways, Ciaran, I'm sorry if my words came off as trying to demean your system, it's not. I think what you offer is the best for Zmud around currently and I encourage Zmud users to buy your system.

Please, for all your fights, log it to a single notepad document, then after you've accumulated a fairly long list of fights, email it to me! I'm trying to collect as many lines as possible to increase the efficiency of the system!
Also, would be nice if you listed the classes you fought on the log in the email. You all know my email. Please the Gmail one!

I'm really annoyed. I keep seeing how mediocre and laggy my system is every time I fight, and I finally have the credits to buy a descent system, but I promised myself I wouldn't buy one I have this silly belief that, as a CS major, I should only use my own coding.

Yet, I can say that this is a very nice system, and one I'd almost certainly buy right now if I hadn't made that promise to myself. The only time I can kill Ciaran or others I know who use the system was back when it didn't have good illusion protection and I got lucky with a perfectily timed illusion intended to break writhing systems. I can't do much now at all =\\

I've started importing things into the system and so far it's been pretty good to me, the bug fixes and decreased lag makes me happy. Yes, faster is better!

I must admit that the clash of words between Ciaran and Ethelon amused me somewhat. Ethelon, for the love of God, I'd expect someone like you to know by now what rumors are.

Ciaran was given Murphy's support on the matter, so really, get a grip. I have to further say that some "hard-core" fighters in this game have -real- personality issues, and I am not reffering to only IC. To have the capacity and low character to try and demolish an attempt to "make it" with a system is revolting.

He is a better coder? he sucks at coding? so what?! keep your notions to yourself or reserve them to your circle of friends, but why must you try and humiliate him in his own thread where he is trying to make some well earned credits?

I honestly don't see how hearing rumors justify that sort of thing. If you want, feel free to charge 100 credits too, yish. I for one do not see how upgrading a dead system upon which some spent 150 credits is "an act of evil and ripoff".

I like the system so far too. The lack of lag is probably the best thing in my opinion.

Ciaran's system sucks, that is why I am getting him to make one for us in Imperian too.... so you all will hear it here too... when the Ciaran/Imperian system is out... you can buy one of those and have fun on another IRE game


And Ciaran knows I am kidding, his system is uber sweet. Trust me I knit pick it to the core and make him add or fix things all the time. I can get under people's skin like that, but hey!!! If it works....

Zero lag sounds like a pretty high achievement, though. Kudos.

Yeh like i said i'm very impressed with what he has done.

Let me clear something up though. When I first worked out with Thorgal about the system, I basically pulled it apart and fixed up a huge majority of things. I redid all the queues, added a heap more queues, did the parry, some gui stuff and basically took all his ideas and my ideas and mashed them together.

Now Ciaran did with my work what i did with Thorgal's work, he saw where my ideas were good, and he saw where his ideas were better, and he pulled everything apart and put it back together. It takes a lot of effort and intelligence to put a system like this together, but i still remain impressed. If one more person tries to say he's selling someone else's work i'm going to beat them, the effort and creativity required to do something like this is enormous, and it only benefits everyone who buys it that he has built the ideas of 2 other top notch IRE combatants.

Really i compare it to science, let me quote something.

Heh, please, no Ethelon bashing on this thread. I said something that was taken far too seriously along the lines of "my system is better!" which triggered his defensiveness, it really was my fault, and I understand all this.

Thanks for the support you guys, and yes, hopefully the Impy system will be done before christmas, even though B-ball will suck up so much of my time!!!

Note: I still need more bard logs (from seren/celest/mag/and glom) as well as any labeled logs you have! I'm trying to anchor all the triggers I can and replace them with full line triggers, but I don't have all the stuff I need right now to do it!
