I actually have an incredibly intricate gorgog-tracking system. It clocks how long it has been since each specific gorgog (identified by IH) has been killed and notifies my when and where they will appear. If I'm on a different plane, my system lets me know a few minutes in advance to head over there. Additionally, it tracks everyone and thirdeye and auto-scries everyone with gems of cloaking to discern if anyone is currently hunting the gorgogs or anywhere near them (based off of the room names). Everyone else who hunts gorgogs is also tracked by the system. It takes their ranking, archytpe, and weapon choice, and with that information, finds their mean killing time for the gorgog. I currently have 76 individuals which I track, all of whom are viewable through a single alias which displays the most up-to-date level, stats, weapon choice, and of course their gorgog killing times.

Genevieve2007-03-05 01:25:26
This sort of thing would explain why Exeryte pops up often when I'm hunting gorgogs.
Unknown2007-03-05 07:01:08
Wow thats pretty insane with the Gorgogs.. I just clear cats and make a good haul...

Hmmm, self hatred eh?
PS: I know what you mean though. I dislike that it's even possible to get honour lines of two totally opposing quests. Like freeing and sealing the gorgogs etc.
Genevieve2007-03-05 20:32:02
Well it's not any more. All the recent quests, like the observatory one, won't let you.
Exeryte2007-03-05 21:24:03
That was a joke. I actually do not have a system do any of those crazy things with the gorgogs. Come on. The rest of the class is on page 17, let's get going.
Oh, and I think we have -finally- settled that Exeryte likes honors quests.

Estelbar always seems to make me guess. I've never completed it, because I can't match the pills, since the villagers only say a limited amount of things.

They NEVER make you guess. You missed clues.
HINT: Villagers do not respond ONLY to the cubs' names. Try something else. Each named villager has to give exactly one clue.
Genevieve2007-03-07 07:42:57
I am a quest whore and proud of it. I enjoy solving quests and if I can, I will do every quest the I am allowed to by city law. I enjoy the challenge and I enjoy the honors lines!
I don't see why there's such a stigma against doing a lot of quests. They're placed there for us to do and enjoy. Additionally, can't we do both sides of the quest because our character changed their mind and repented, or perhaps the character changed orgs at some point and now has a different agenda?

Karell2007-03-07 13:34:53
Maybe the character doesn't care about either side in the quest and only helps them along to find out what makes them tick.
I don't think anyone dislikes quest whores. If there's so many quests you can do and so much activity that's regulated by quests and not PK or roleplay or social interaction, it's to attract people who like quests. So if people for the most part like quests, they call someone else a quest whore because they'd like to be a quest whore.

Quest whore is a term used only by disgruntled people who REALLY want to do Estelbar/Stewartsville/Something quest, but when they arrive they see someone else did it before them. So, they call that someone like that. Alternatively, it's a term used by people who are not too bright and can't figure out how to solve even the easiest quests, and are envious of those who do.
Quests are the best way of getting gold, and as a result credits, for those who can't or don't want to buy them OOCly.

Unknown2007-03-07 17:59:18
My favourite quests are not the quick and easy gold village ones, but the ones that actually have an effect on somebody like gorgogs, kelpies(apparently), and Marani. Too bad I haven't figured out the cathedral one yet. Kill Marani so I can try again please

Not all quests give gold. Zoaka gives you about 300 and is rather gold poor for the effort involved. The tide pools quest is also pretty goldless, about 1600, exluding any drops you might pick up.
