Do you listen to IRE Radio?
If Yes, How long per week?
If No, Why not?
Do you DJ for IRE Radio?
If Yes, How long per week?
If No, Would you be interested?
I have cancelled the Streaming host subscription because usage is really low, it will end on the 15th of November if enough people can't convince me to keep it running. If enough people do convince me, I am actually thinking about switching to a new host with better service and some more useful features for DJs but still around the same price.
I honestly think it can be a really fun resource for people, but only if we can get DJs who are committed to making it interesting, which means not just playing music but making it relevant and fun for the listeners of all the IRE games.
Anyway, please let me know the answers to the above questions. Thanks.

I'll start this off so it doesn't feel awkward!
(All these answers are based on the past month or so.)
Do you listen to IRE Radio?
Yup!
If Yes, How long per week?
About 6 hours a week, if there's a DJ about.
Do you DJ for IRE Radio?
Yup, but recently it's been sporadic due to school.
If Yes, How long per week?
Recently, 2 hours a week (when I was more free it used to be around 4-5 hours)
There we go! Now someone else answer! It's really fun to be a DJ, if you're interested don't be shy to try it out!

If there was a way to DJ with iTunes, I'd consider DJing.

Can I ask why you want to DJ with iTunes. If its because you don't want any other program on your machine then its a no. If its because you can't run winamp or you only have AAC files then we can give you alternatives.

All my music is in iTunes form
Unknown2006-10-18 15:30:52
Mac or Windows?
Acrune2006-10-18 15:51:16
Like I'd use a Mac
Windows of course

You're contradicting yourself. What's so bad about a Mac that lets iTunes be OK?

Do you listen to IRE Radio?
No

Cause every time I've tried, I've gotten an error. Don't remember what the error said now, but it wouldn't work anyway.
Do you DJ for IRE Radio?
Nope

Well, I haven't been able to get it to work to listen so...

Hardware != software. Plus I like my iPod.

Anyone have a link on how to listen to IRE Radio? And...ways to do it from an old Mac?
Simimi2006-10-18 19:37:27
I stopped listining after it became IRE radio, when they changed from LusterniaRadio... I still like to listen, but I forgot how.
I would Dj if you wanted me too! But my music is different...

I used to listen most of the time when I was playing Lusternia, but the URL I had to for the stream randomly stopped working. I guess that was when it switched to IRE radio?
I'd still listen now if I had a link, but I don't play Lusternia as often as I used to.

I stopped about the time it turned into IREradio, and when I reformatted my hard drive two or three times to get things running.

I haven't listened before, but I tried today and it didn't seem to work at all. Service unavailable... does that mean it is shut down already?
Unknown2006-10-19 02:47:01
Whenever I tried to play it it never worked for me, came up with an error. I wanted to listen to it though!
Unknown2006-10-19 07:31:51
See this is the problem all you people getting the service not available its because we don't have enough DJs. If there is no DJ there is nothign to listen to. More DJs = more music.
Acrune: The latest Shoutcast plugin for winamp supports AAC+ files so you should be able to play them.
Mimi: Don't worry about your music collection, everyone can't hate everything and you might even play stuff someone wanted to hear but no one else has.
requiem: THe url didn't change its the same, but like said previously we almost have no DJs now so only small periods of time is the radio actually up for.
If any of you would be interested in DJing PM me, you don't have to commit any time, its just that the more people we have that can DJ and would occasionally do it, the more chance we have to cover more dead air so that people don't get service unavailables all the time.

Unknown2006-10-19 07:58:39
My Wife DJs all hers is Chinese and German.
Unknown2006-10-19 08:18:12
Is there any talking? Or is it personal music collections that are broadcast?
