I wonder whether nexus distort stops it.

Oh, and it's a rubrics cube, that you solve with a certain color on top when you want to go somewhere, I like the message a lot more then the cubix one. wub.gif

I would pay no more then 300cr for it as it is right now.
And i still need to get credits for Absorbtion rune. ninja.gif

I've used it. Normally I try to advocate buying things to help support Lusternia, but it's not worth it whatsoever.

Off-topic slightly, but I highly encourage that for everything negative you have to say (even if you have an appreciated positive accompanying it) why not make a suggestion on how it could be improved? I absolutely can't promise that anything will come of it, but I -can- guarantee that the more ideas out there, statistically, the more that will be heard and debated and possibly even implemented.

If it worked cross plane and had the ability to reset once a month, instead of Auto-ressetting, then I can see it costing 500 credits.. Otherwise just make it 250 credits or 300.
Ixion2006-10-26 20:22:10
While that's a great mindset, I have to put the fullstop on the pyramid though.

If the pyramid got any upgrades outside of reducing the port time, I can see it being used in a highly abusive manner.
Xavius2006-10-26 20:27:03
I'm convinced most of the people posting have never had tarot and an exploitive mindset. wink.gif

I'm tempted, but yeah, 500cr might be a bit steep.
Estarra2006-10-26 21:05:49
Sheesh, you guys are harsh.

I set the price after asking several envoys who had suggested 600 credits and I decided to price it lower.

We'll probably reduce teleport time and not being able to re-set a side sounds like a bug. We won't extend the time beyond a game month--it's that way on purpose. (You really want someone to be able to teleport indefinitely into a guild or council chambers or whatnot?)
Sylphas2006-10-26 21:14:03
Instant, I can see using it a lot more. Not 500cr worth, but a lot more.

Most people will be using this simply as a better hermit tarot. Hermit is a novice skill. At 500 credits, though, it's more similar to a Prism, which is more functional for travel and for raiding.

For 500 credits, I'd want this to function instantly and across planes.
Cairam2006-10-26 21:15:03
Maybe there's a special puzzle to it and if you solve it you'll find a room with a big chain, and if you pulll it...

You go down the toilet and have an instant swishy death!
My Achaean character did that on accident tongue.gif

Very wise, that would be too incredibly strong-- As soon as Fain posted I figured someone would try to boost that feature.
Unknown2006-10-26 21:31:58
Perhaps when you solve it, the spirit of an ancient Gaudiguchan pharoh could possess your body and boost your skill at trivial games like miniatures and chess?

Or we could upgrade it by making it instantaneous and allowing cross-planar travel, there's no chance in hell I'm paying 500 credits for an artifact that's slightly more useful than a Hermit tarot.
Unknown2006-10-26 21:32:32
Ok, who wants to manage the betting pool on how long it is until Mr Moneybags Richter gets one?

EDIT:Decided I had better be constructive. I think it should probably be able to teleport you to a random place on the same plane/continent. That would make it a bit more fun. You could play Russian Roulette with it tongue.gif
Gandal2006-10-26 21:42:07
THAT is scary.

But fun, heh.

That's kind of neat!

Or, just so you have a little control... You can imprint 4 places, but it's random which one you'll wind up at?

There's also a random fifth place, with dire results

laugh.gif Awesome!
Shryke2006-10-26 22:20:54
Nobody buys an arti that can kill them...
Perhaps have the four places to go to (for each side) with a timer, and have you be able to touch the point to teleport instantly? Maybe that would be OP.. Have it be stopped by prone?

Edit: the point would teleport you to somewhere random.
Simimi2006-10-26 22:31:10
Maybe give it the four places, but add a command like "touch random" or "puzzle random" or whatever to randomly give you one, if your just bored...?
