Problem with having each side last a month from when it is first activated (instead of having it reset every month) is that you could easily teleport to each place on the pyramid and refresh it every month, providing a near-permanent (if you work for it) entrance into a stockroom or guildhall. As it is now, you can only have a near-permanent entry into a single area, and you have to teleport there beforehand, sit and wait for the puzzle to reset, and re-assign it. Sitting and waiting for the reset in a stockroom or guildhall is risky, so I don't think many people would do it.

Interesting idea but my gut says don't require players to buy an artifact to get involved in a plot (or to base plot ideas on something you have to buy credits with). Anyway, that said, my favorite RP of all our artifacts has to be the 'changeling' race as represented by the cameo.

Yep. Ash knows he's superior to all non changelings. But to make those who aren't not too envious, he hides his cameo.
