Can I be the random person that thinks he's in the Geomancers, but is actually enemied to Magnagora for spitting on the Warlord's wife?

This wasn't intended to be a humourous comic strip, more like a full page with a serious plot. Though I am open to suggestions. (And if everyone wants a gag a strip type, I'm hoping someone would be willing to write it for me, or I could just look at quotes )

Right now I'm just trying to get positions filled out so I have an idea what and who to draw, and not everyone will be a "main character" exactly, and might find themselves more of a background person (especially if you don't PM me specifics).

This project won't be started for a while, so right now I'm seeing who's willing to be displayed in it. I'm excited to draw Iblis, Verithrax, and Guido so far (among others). I was drawing a female version on Charune earlier in class, as that was easier.

You really shouldn't try to put specific people in it. Just start making a comic, and when you need a certain type of character, draw from an established Lusternian.

If you wanted to add me, I wouldn't object to it. I'd just be the extra that ends up dying I guess.

Which I need their permission for... I have a feeling Narsrim would object to me putting him in the comic for some reason.

I play Rheum in-game. I usually play quite, unobtrusive characters so even though I've been playing since the first day of open beta, very few people know me or my characters.

If X number of people have done the same thing over the course of Lusternia's history, and it's become so commonplace that people have come up with a term for those acts then you don't need their permission or their individual names attached for it to be funny, or to get your point across, if they refuse to give permission, they'll just be personally missing out, it won’t really limit you at all.

Also, do you think that political comics get the permission of all the politicians they are making fun of and in fact naming?

Yeah, you really shouldn't put -every- single person in. Make up a completely new character if you want. Makes it more interesting!

Eh, not going to put everyone in per se as I mentioned previously. I just need a good list of people who I can use when the situation arises, (some might find themselves in the background), and the main character will be original for sure to make things easier.

I give reiha free permission to use any and all depictions of my character so long as his personal hygeine is worse than the cleanliness of his armour and gear.

As a side note, I think that the short gag strip format works really well and would love to co-write one. Those of course would have to be short, topical, and centered around one of Lusternia's characters.

If you plan on an involved serial story format, a la Sluggy Freelance or Megatokyo, I suggest you either create an original character or have a single estabilished character as your protagonist, and while cames from players from all over are a lot of fun, you should focus on using as recurrent characters the really estabilished characters, the people whose notoriety goes beyond even that of elected leaders and into Guido-like levels of fame (Or, more often, infamy).

You can place Merkada in the comic, if you need a dreamweaving Aquamancer, closet philosopher who spends too much time on Astral and in dreamform.
