My cats! Retaliation!
At least the cats are much more cute then the monkeys.

I see it in this perspective, Ildaudid cannot join either commune, one because they are scared of celest and the other because they will boot you out if you are not of a true neutral alignment.
I would have really liked to try out Night at some point, but Ildaudid has no reason to kill anything other than light scum, even moving to one of the two communes, he would still have a deep seated hatred for light scum and would of course defend his commune against the other commune.
So I guess until they open up Gaud or Hali, Ildaudid will remain in Magnagora. But if they do open those up, he will go there and he WILL still kill celestians... If it is dracnariville he will also beat the out of Dysolis or any other hippie dracnari who wants to cuddle with Celest.
As me. I need to fight Celest because they are the ones who seem to have the most people with skills. There are a few Gloms and Sereners with skills but only fighting one or two people over and over is dull. With Celest I can run across Shamarah doing something stupid, then fall into a pit Geb made in Bondero Bay, get jumped by Munsrim anywhere in the Basin. Duel Thoros and chase Forren all in the course of an hour...
Its like ing Disney World for PvP, I think!!
That and choppin off Noola's head every so often is kinda fun too... Make trophies mail them to people who claim to be her father and tell them... "Release your claim, she is my daughter... you can have this little trophy to remember her by!!!"

That's so sweet in a awesomely twisted way!

I can say this was to be expected. While Celest was dominated early in the war, ever since then their amount of competant fighters left little doubt who was winning.
Though, the peace treaty did make my reason for leaving seren all the more valid and respectable.

Um... you joined Serenwilde, got them involved in a war that most people didn't want, caused players to quit the game, and pissed off numerous people with your limitless immaturity. Not sure I see the respectable part...

There wasn't a treaty. The war ended without any agreements being signed, any treaties being drafted and without any kind of pact between Celest and Serenwilde.
Ixion2006-10-26 20:29:31
1- I did join serenwilde. Correct
2- The referendum in Seren showed the considerable majority DID want the war by not giving in to celest's ultimatum. Wrong.
2b- I never advocated the war, and when people talked to me about it I said I did not want to get them into one. Wrong again.
3- Yes, I caused people to quit the game by watching Celest beat up seren, and by being mostly inactive for half the war itself. Wrong yet again.
4- Thanks for the chuckle
The only part that you said which was true, is that I did indeed join Serenwilde. Keep your ignorance to yourself.
Edit: I don't know what happened inside TMC. By Vesar's post it sounded like some agreement was made. How I was raised, your word is your bond and your word is all that's needed.

Leaving Serenwilde over something that happened in a FFA is respectable?
Ixion2006-10-26 20:35:07
Certainly that added to the fire so to speak, but you're just trying to invoke some measure of sarcasm for your own benefit. Those who needed to know, do know exactly why I left.
So many immature and rather unfounded remarks on the forums these days, whatever shall we do.

Even if you want to avoid the term surrender, there are three orgs looking at this and seeing a concession of defeat.
Celest's terms to avoid war were basically stop attacking angels. Serenwilde said no. Celest then proceeded to beat down Serenwilde in a spectacular display that everyone who isn't in Serenwilde would readily call "winning the war." Serenwilde then, of its own free will, agreed to do what it has refused to do since open beta on the basis of an inviolable RP that the players have espoused both in game and on the forums...with the tag line that it'll stop the Celestian beatdown.
No, there's no surrender here. It's more of a capitulation. Celest didn't even have to ask.

I don't care what the other orgs think of it since they would have seen about any ending to the war as a defeat for Serenwilde. Even if Serenwilde managed to permanently kill the Supernals and sunk Celest into the sea there would have just been people complaining that Serenwilde got Magnagora to do it all or that their divine did it for them.

Its a nice story and its definitely one of the more popular versions but that doesn't make it accurate.

The whole problem was the timing. We should have had this coming out of beta.
OOC, yes, I'll admit it. We lost. What this does, though, is let us save face.
In the future, without changing any laws, we could theoretically kill some angels. We could kill some demons, or beat the hell out of Glomdoring, whatever. We just happen to be in a situation where if we look at them wrong, the rabid Celestian dogs will start eating us again. So we'll back off for now.
Also, we never voted for war. We voted to not listen to Celest. The same consequences, but different motives. The whole time we've had people saying, "Oh look, we like war, the referendum said so!" when it's actually been "bleh, that treaty sucks. Is there another that's possibly better?"

I can make stuff up, post it to forums and reference it six months later the same as anyone else here. That isn't exactly the most convincing documentation. Show me what documentation you've got.

I think we need to do that. This "if we say it often enough it'll become true" mindset definitely has something going for it, at least on the forums.
