If it was explained correctly to me, Mii is creating your own little characters to interact over the internet or in the games such as Wii Sports. Sorry if someone explained it to you already or you figured it out.

Got it, I was hoping it facilitated online play, guess it doesn't yet.

We're actually playing with our Miis right now. In game that use them, like all of the Wii sports games, all of your Miis show up. So, My roommate and friend were playing baseball, and the first person in the lineup is them, but then I showed up on the team, and my girlfriend, and all the people we'd created. In the games where they don't show up on your team, they might show up in the background. My friends were bowling last night, and I was chilling in the back sat down at a scoring machine.
Also, if you turn on the migrate option, and have WiiConnect24 on, they can show up on other people's console that have decided to allow new Miis. I believe you can also manually transport them to another Wii, and lastly ten Miis can be saved onto a Wiimote, it's at that time you use the one time option when you play (instead of trying to synchronize with their console) to play with your own characters.

After seeing the games on tv, I'm not really impressed with anything so far. The graphics are very much inferior to the 360, it just feels like a step backwards in that area.

Um.. if you only like graphics, why not watch a movie? Or better yet, go out into the real world?
For a system to make a huge advance in both gameplay and graphics at the same time would make the cost insane as well as the development looong.
I much prefer us finally getting a really gameplay advancement over graphics.

I don't *only* like the graphics, but from what I seen the average Wii game looks like a budget title for the Xbox, at best they look like a good gamecube game. Graphics usually aren't a high priority to me but they're just so far inferior to what I've gotten used to on the 360 that the Wii would probably bug me.

Perhaps, but the game play is just amazing. I hope red steel is as good as it looks, cause I'll be getting that as soon as I'm done with the other games I have.
Zelda, although really neat, isn't Wiiish enough for me quite yet. But then I don't have the cool fishing pole yet.

Depending on the game, graphics really don't matter. They're nice, but gameplay has to be first priority, and Wii has that covered better than any other console, in terms of innovation and allowing new things to be tried. Other systems get the same old stuff, but now it looks better.

Red Steel is, as so many people have accurately described it, "Meh." Great ideas, poor execution. Still worth a playthrough, though I'd recommend renting it.

Wii is also the only reasonably priced next generation console at the moment. The game graphics can only get better over time as companies test their bounds and limits. I would kind of buy one if I could afford it over the PS3 (though I LOVE playstation) and definately over the 360 (bleh microsoft).
I also love that you can download games from older systems, that's very cool. I also like that PS3 will be able to play PS and PS2 games. Can the 360 play games from the XBOX? Just curious.

Most of the good games. You need to download something onto your 360 to be able to play each xbox game, so people aren't going to bother to make that little patch that lets you play crappy games.
