Reiha your cats are so cute. <3

The second picture of Nunu would be a perfect one to subtitle too, maybe "what u doin?"

Edit:'Trash baby' is nature blending, and the cats on the stairs are ratting for gold. biggrin.gif

roflmao.gif Awww, thanks! wub.gif

Smart dogs are really cute though. Especially when they're friendly as well so they want to please you. Cat tries really hard to follow instructions, it's so funny watching him. biggrin.gif

Not if they were dumb enough to roll in trash during the winter and were much too large to fit in the bath for a wash.

Love the cute pictures, but am so darn tired of the "I'm in ur whatever, doing whatever" lines. Come on, people who make these pictures. Be more original!

Another reason why humanity needs a kick in the teeth.

Erm... It's the teacher that said a kilometre was bigger, not the kid. The teacher then wrote to the kid's parents, telling him that even though he was wrong, it was bad o the student to correct him. That is why humanity needs kicking.

I'd meant teacher... but mistyped, fixed it though.

Seriously, we should like completely drop the Imperial (Standard) system. Few months ago, I was participating in a joint US-Canada drill, and every briefing was filled with at least 15 minutes of "How many feet is that?" "How many Meters?" That was a headache and a half... you'd figure some of the highest trained men and woman in both respective national services would be able to figure that crap out...
Tervic2007-03-07 09:16:00
Everyone should go metric. It's base 10, and therefore naturally easy for our base 10 bodies and brains to comprehend. There's a reason we use metric in research... because it's more intuitive and transparent than the Imperial/"Standard" system, which looks to me like a way for companies to disguise how much stuff you're -really- getting. I.e. you might think a pint is a lot, but it's really about 4 good sized scoops of ice cream.

Anyhow... For my contribution to the thread:

It's a carpet baby!!!

Who the hell calls Imperial "standard"? Even we don't call it that, and we use it. (far too much) mellow.gif

My computer calls Imperial "U.S.", so it MUST be evil. *sagenod*

I do believe that people have been suggesting a switch since 1965.

How about people just suck it up and get educated in both? Its not like we are learning so much useful stuff anyways.

While we are at it though, lets have everyone use 110 voltage. Stupid outlets that fry my razor if I don't waste money an an adapter I'm going to throw away after my 4 day trip to europe..... *mutter*

ARRRRRGGGG, its worse than I thought...

http://kropla.com/electric2.htm

You got 110, 120, 220, 230, 240, 227....

Oh and word of warning, your ethernet cables arn't saved from power surges unless you have a specific power surge for them.

Heh check that out... Gaza is 230V 50Hz while Israel and Egypt are 220V 50Hz... You just -know- somebody did that on purpose.

That's idiotic. Because the Americans hold on to a standard that is objectively inferior and nobody else really uses anymore (Except the damn Brits) everyone should waste their time learning how to use it, and furthermore, waste time coping with its existence. If both standards were just different, the Imperial system would still be worse because fewer people use it. But they're not; the Metric system is objectively superior.

That would be a good idea. Except, 220 is better.
Unknown2007-03-07 22:33:37
Brit schools teach Metric, and have done for a couple of decades now, but we still hang on to miles, for some reason. Kilometres-per-hour doesn't have the same ring to it, anyway.
Shiri2007-03-08 02:48:19
We use lbs and oz for some stuff too (cooking comes to mind.) Feh.

EDIT: I wonder if Xavius will come and try to defend it now.
