Okay, so the revamp from the old murphy system to the new Ciaran system is finally complete!

The system includes:
Queued curing, from slickness, to ectoplasm. It has vine curing that will ensure that you don't get thornrended!
Fully updated, streamlined writhe queue.
PARRYING SYSTEM!
Finally, the concept behind the murphy parrier has been reached!
The silly bugs and tracking errors have been fixed! This parrier rocks!

-Head and legs
and of course off!

This system has autosipping, auto-sparkling, all toggleable!

Tracks Defences, keeping essential things like kafe, insomnia etc. up.

Love script to keep love up against those pesky mages!

Highlighted combatants from each organization, red,blue,purple,and green.

This has the best sap curing I've personally seen. It's got everything you need to get out of anything but a true lock!

If you have focus mind, this system checks your mana, and if it's high enough, will use it to keep your afflictions low.

Illusion protection! Forren has helped me work on this, and as of now, this system is very, very well protected against illusions.

Biggest bonus. Ever heard of the murphy lag? Well, no longer! This system is cleaned up, from my users I've heard that it's "800% faster"

If you own Murphys system it is 50 cr (Old as in the real old pre murph/thorgal one)

If you own Thorgals system it is 50 cr



But if you own the Supermurph (The thorgal/murphy hybrid Murphy did) it is FREE


I like the system, it has definately lost its lag Ciaran forgot to mention the piloting system he put in it.. and the other little tweaks to aethercraft he added. There is alot more but I forget all the little things....

So how do you want us to prove we own the supermurphy system to get the update?

There are a few oddities like that on the old version - not sure about the new one.

I own(ed) Thorgal's system and need this one. I'll be grabbing you when I'm next free. Sadly Thorgal's system died a sorry death when my laptop died, and Aiakon is having a terribly bad time trying to fight on java with no curing. A new system won't stop the lag, but it will make his life happy and pink and cheerful again. Yay. Give me a discount.

You should be on Murph's old mailing list. If I were Ciaran I would just mass mail it out to that whole list.

But Qudgyboo, we all know you have his system, so I doubt Ciaran will say no update for you

Back to tweaking it for my slow PB self.

If you have OLD the system there are a few bugs that I can trigger to check.
Also, I'm not gonna just blanket email this new system, because for one-I don't have murph's email list, and for 2- I don't know which char goes with which email, so in theory people could trick me, because I don't know any bugs on my current system to exploit

Just an interesting thought - there is a HUGE bug in the previous incarnation of Murphy-Thorgal (possibly original Thorgal too) that involved an infinite loop, along with some illusion vulnerabilities. Ciaran has done a ton as far as bug-fixing goes. It's easy to tell who uses older versions - one illusion knocks them out.

What's the Torak trigger?

It was an exception to the hangedman trigger. Can't remember what it did, exactly - possibly didn't writhe if it was your name.

Confirmed today that it's been removed from Ciaran's version.

Oh yeah, I remember fixing that, was kinda curious what the deal was with that random trigger that would only fire to torak it was something more like #if %1=torak add afflictions entangled..

Ahaahaahaa! More major fixes! Melancholic curing was one of the oversights of the old version that I missed, fixed it now!!! Good luck trying to kill me now blacktalon (they rely heavily on melancholic affs)

Anyway, I've cut down even more on the parry spam, and clot efficiency is my next thing. New update is going out sunday, so if you want the system I would prefer if you contacted me before then... Anyway, yeah, this system keeps getting better and better, and I suggest you get in on it!

That melancholic change was done how long ago now? At least a couple months, eh? Ouch.

I've recently distributed the change, and the melancholic stuff still cured, it just took a bit longer. Actually the delagging change I made to speed up the system is what made me need to fix the erronious triggers, so it's really been about 4 days since it started being a problem.. good point though, I didn't spell out all the details.

I recommended this system to one a Moondancer just out of novicehood who said he didn't have the time to code one himself. Do I get a cookie?
