I can confirm that 218 aggregate is still possible for full plate.
My best greathelm was 186 aggregate.

Well I guess I better fire up the forge.
Ashteru2006-11-01 18:29:37
Just today I had enough time to check. I sadly have no all metal chain designs. :/ For shirts, at least.

I am cleaning up Tharedian of all the deadbeats, come up with some chain pattern if you want and I will submit it.

Bad Ash!

It offers the following defences:
Physical cutting: 66
Physical blunt: 49
Armour Status: 100
A white chain mail coif has no poisons or magical effects on it.
Hrhr. I R Forging-god.

I bet you couldn't get those stats on a shirt. Coifs seem to have higher stats than normal chainmail. The coif I posted was only forged once and it's a semi-legitimate piece of armor.

I'd try, but as I said, I have no all metal shirts available to me. :/

This makes the Champ helms lower than what can be forged...
a champ helm is 90/90 or at least an Ur'Guard champ helm is... probably wouldnt be surprised if nico's was 99/99 since.... well you know

Invite me into Tharedian already, bastard.
Another coif I forged:
Physical cutting: 71
Physical blunt: 46
Physical cutting: 59
Physical blunt: 55
Getting those stats I am wondering why anyone uses raise hood instead of coifs.

Hrm, I'll grab someone to test.
Ashteru2006-11-02 23:15:09
okay, I checked now.
Damage: 54 Precision: 122 Speed: 290
That hammer.
Physical cutting: 50
Physical blunt: 58
That coif on Luthes head.
Hammer did 342 wounds.
Physical cutting: 47
Physical blunt: 46
With his robes, hammer did 387 wounds.
So yeah, coif works.
Come and buy them from me!
Edit: And don't ask, those are my bashing hammers. <.<

Chain armour generaly haev same stats as greatrobes.
So why noone use them:
ROBES:
+ cheaper
+ can get 2 more proofings
- cant get back all comms
CHAIN ARMOUR
- more expensive
- 2 less proofings
+ you can smelt then and get all comms if all metal design

What prices are you using for your comparison there. With silk like it is these days, I'm not sure how cheap robes are, unless you're going for a no-silk design (which there aren't nearly enough of).

I was tailor for some tiem and i have made around 10-12 greatrobes that i haev sold for 7500 in my shop. Those wasnt enchanted, but you still should close in 10k.
And cheapest design for greatrobes i have found was something like for 3k.

Yes, yes, I know it's an old thread.
However, 180 cumulative cap on helms appears to be doable - I just made myself a rather pretty 89/90.
