Ok!! To everyone else...spoilers ahead.

Well, this is how I did it. The first time I tried, the demon wall wrecked me. Couldn't kill it fast enough. SOoooo, I tried running...went through the door at the end of the hallway, but *gasp* there's another demon wall. The thing is, for this one, the pathway is a -lot- longer so you have plenty of time to beat it to a pulp. Also, if you want to slow it down, there are torches along the pathway that you can activate and it'll stop the wall momentarily.

Advent Children made me cry. HORRIBLE!

I liked Advent Children a lot. Even if not for feeding my inner fanboy and being a good (not plot-wise, I admit) conclusion of the game, the animation itself is enough to make the movie at least decent.

Demon Wall was a breeze compared to what's in the basement, Ialie. >_<

Agreed. Though, -that- guy is a breeze compared to the next esper, which, like I said, wasted half my party before I could even move

Anyways, I'm done work! Time to go home and grind out some major LPs.

I found the demon wall harder than the thing in the basement. Of course, I use and abuse quickenings. I go out of my way to pick them up early.

I should be ashamed. I didn't learn my quickenings until like.. level 30ish and just used one last night for the first time.

Went back and stomped out the first demon wall. Supposed to be something downstairs, but it won't appear for me.

Edit: I love how your MP doubles after learning two quickenings and triples after learning the third. Makes abusing my esper easy.

Yeah. Easy if you buy those grimoire things too in the bazaar, but you won't need more than the first one (Should be 18000 gil. The guy in the second hunt puts it in the bazaar for oyu) to get better drops from monsters.

I could be off though. I bought it as soon as I could so I don't know what they'd normally drop.

And did you buy armor at the Garif village? Or um.. I don't know.. maybe go beat up some weaker things for LP and get the HP+ augments? There's a 200 and a 500 on the lower left end of the augment board. Shield block augments really help my two shield-wearing characters too.

Edit: Okay.. apparently I can communicate with the Cockatrice and they told me that you can see if it's rainy or not from the south gate of Rabanastre.

... yes, I found an item that lets me talk with birds.

Rented it myself, been playing for a long time. I LOVE the free roam where I can kind of pick and choose my battles, I love the story but hte that I seem to spend most of the time watching the game instead of playing it. LP points, KILLING ME, I don't like that you (at least for me since i'm still not directly working on the story line) only get one or sometimes two lp's per battle. I've been mainly doing the hunts, did Tomato, Cactus, Wolf and Wraith (Wraith WHUPPED my ass repeatedly). Also just took on cockatrice and tortise. Gold's been moving slow since i'm not sure if I can use any of the stuff I steal or they drop for anything.

I like the game though it's hard which is much different then most of the games they're putting out now, oh and Richter I'm all about the active with fast settings, forces you to pay close attention and not lollygag.

This post is probably not as coherent as it should be but I was playing from about 9pm till 4am then grabbed two hours of sleep so Whooooooooooo!!!

The fact that it's actually hard is probably going to make me eventually buy it. Last one I had any trouble with was 5.

Anyone else notice that treasure chests/jars/etc respawn in areas after a while?

I told him that today when I stopped by school at lunch, he didnt remember Yrael. I was tempted to say 'steal like youre me with your pockets.' but..I didnt.
