Hi!
This is an IC issue! All reasoning for arguements for and against certain gods are going to be IC! If you would like to discuss these things, please contact Shayle...that's right! IC!. If you don't really give a flying octopus, and are just looking for banter on the forums, let me direct you to the plethora of other threads dedicated to just that.
Hi!
As far as I'm concerned, this is not an IC issue. Aiakon doesn't give a flying octopus what you treehuggers think or do. I, however, am interested: not to stir trouble, just interested. If you feel that others may carry over infomation from OOC to IC, and the prospect of this distresses you, I invite you to PM me.

Thank you all for the information. Don't worry Shayle, I wouldn't make any major decisions for Bhiele without fact checking in character first. I just wanted to get some basics, maybe hear some things about my choices that weren't in the help files.
My main problem in character with asking someone is that all of the people Bhiele would have asked, have left. Nirrti and Valarien were mentor-like to her, but she is coming to know Kamilah and Urazial more so I would likely have her ask them. Hopefully Bhiele will get to meet Shayle IC soon. It annoys the jeebus out of me in other games when people ask on the market channel to speak with a Divine's representative so I thought the forums were a valid option to ask the things that Bhiele can't really run around asking.
Thanks again guys for all the information!

Glomdoring people can't follow Morgfyre for a very simple reason.
Morgfyre is part of the Magangora divine consulate, therefore, he is restricted to Magnagora.
To see what happens, when important people in Glomdoring follow a god from Magnagora, look no further than Kaervas being horrible mistreated and losing lots of lessons because people thought it wouldn't be a problem.
ICly, there are other things, but thats what it comes down to.

You all treat Kaervas horribly? Why? Wouldn't you treat someone who can actually fight and defend your commune with some form of decency??

And this is precisely what sucks horribly about Lusternia. EVERYTHING is contained inside the city/commune sphere, and NOBODY, EVER, needs to deal with people outside their own city for anything other than potions/enchantments. The game is quite simply a team wargame where you're not allowed to associate or even know people in other teams.

They're talking about the whole Fain/Viravain thing from when I tried to join the first time
Noola2006-11-02 19:22:14
First off, how come being on the Divine Consulate means he's restricted to Magnagora? That doesn't make much sense to me... Can you tell me the reasoning?
Secondly, we need more Gods.

Ahhh, was gonna say... Glomdoring is a harsh Mistress

can't we all just worship the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

I actually considered having Bhiele idolize the thorn beast instead of traditional gods.

Did Ildaudid just doublepost thirty minutes apart?
That's what I call forum lag!

divine consulate means that Morgfyre can't patron the Harbingers.

It definitly would have been interesting to see what happened if Fain became a patron of a guild in Serenwilde and Glomdoring. Lisarea being the patron of another guild, and Lacostian being the patron of another seren guild, while also being patron of a guild in Celest, along with Hajamin and Isune.
I'm pretty sure thats what was abou to happen before the divine consulate got put in.

Hartstone had Lacostian as a Patron for a bit.

I'm still not sure why being in a Divine Consulate means that the Divine in question can't have followers in other cities/communes.
In fact... I'm pretty sure they can. So, color me confused.

Oh, refer back to shayle's post.
Noola2006-11-02 20:36:47
Ah, so it's an IC rule then? Why couldn't you just say "There's an IC rule in Glomdoring that you can only follow Gods who Patron our Guilds." or something like that? Is it so hard? I mean really. I'm not trying to be a smart-ass or anything. I understand about not wanting to break the line between IC and OOC, but saying OOCly that there is an IC rule, doesn't, in my opinion, do this and would save a lot of confusion - for me at least.

*sigh*
Because there isn't, but the reasoning for things is IC, the explanations are IC, and bringing it here is stupid.
Anyway, moving on, good luck on this Bhiele, and you don't need a real "reason" to approach Shayle IC, unless your character is horrifically petrified of approaching leadership. Shayle gets far less interesting queries from far less relevant people all the time.
Unknown2006-11-02 20:44:38
Shayle, you're really being stubborn here. Why can't you tell them the IC reasons for something on the forum? You're the one who always talks about you not being your character... but you're expecting everyone here to be their characters and share interests both IC and OOC?? that's really hypocritical.

I am saying that I'm not really into discussing IC reasons on this matter as me. They don't make sense OOC, and I the human being can't argue in their favor here. Sorry if it's stubborn to you or hypocritcal (?!). You're more than welcome to explain all of it, Fallen. You're a major Glom player. Have at it!
