I love accents and listening to people talk who have accents. A completely average looking guy is ten times more attractive than the most Brad Pitt looking dude if he's got an accent. Doesn't even really matter what kind of accent (Though anything from the British Isles or Australia or a Russian guy speaking English are especially nice), as long as he sounds completely different than me.

I wonder if that has anything to do with an innate desire to reproduce with someone of dissimilar genes.

Or, it could be that it's "exotic" and "different," and thus refreshing when compared to the sorts of voices and the same accent you hear every day. I don't necessarily find accents sexy per se, but I love listening to them!

I'm glad that my time in this infidel-infested hovel hasn't totally corrupted the (also heretical) british english that I learnt to speak as a child, though I have a perfectly normal american accent as well that is what I use by and large.

Skype is a strange experience. Attaching voices to what are, in 95% of cases to me, just bits of text rather than human beings, is very odd. I know plenty about the people I am friends with in Lusternia, but the rest of you, nada.

Also, hearing Veonira say "you know, like, whatever" and "Oh my god, like, totally awesome!" will remain the highpoint of my life.

I kinda feel like I should get Skype now, but since I don't actually talk to any of you regularly (except somewhat Bali) the monetary investment is scary.

I propose a voice directory instead. That way I can remain mostly anti-social, while creepily listening to everyone else's voice.

My r's sound canadian, certain words such as "suit" and "wrath" sound blatantly british, and I have a few words that the e sounds blatantly American in. The rest is AUstralian accented, though.

I'm too laggy to go to the site to make sure nothing's changed right now, but last I checked Skype was free. You can chat to people on Skype with Skype using a microphone and headphones (both of which are super cheap, you can get a usable mic for like £3). It costs money to call people's landlines with it, but I don't know anyone who does that. And lots of cool people (Yukari, Reiha et al.) use Skype, so it'll be fun!
