I really don't like what's brewing up. Magnagora's (a few of their fighters, at least) just raving about how happy they're going be to grief everyone, and could care less about people being caught in the crossfire. They seem to -want- the orgs to go at eachother.
And I know I'm going to be griefed simply for being a Seren Champ, moreso than usual, and I'm already at my limit.

yeah, that's about the epitome of serenwilde politics there. i want a war with a city... let's flip a coin. enjoying the fireworks tho! and as for those defiling tricks.. they've been doing that for years. i remember when diamante and i basically demolished a whole shrine and then they finished the last room to steal the pleasure
Sarrasri2007-07-09 07:56:27
I don't see why people don't want it to spread. Seren's just been sitting like a dead lump of wood to the north. I've been getting -bored-. Attacking Glomdoring, while fun, is only fun for so long. Especially prime Glom. They need more things to kill there like other orgs and not just a bunch of stuff you can bash. I don't wander there for the view. We need something other than just a bunch of people snuggling, bashing, complaining, raiding Glom occasionally. It is BORING. I'm loving this new conflict. As I told people I'm talking to, I'm giddy as a schoolgirl.
Edit: @Hyrtakos: HA! You helped with that? That was fun stuff. ^^ I was trying to get back to the shrine before they did today, but didn't work. Oh well. My corpse defiled the shrine.

Being wrecked by Magnagora is even less fun than fighting Glom on an even footing though, especially if there doesn't seem to be any reason for it... we'll see though. Hopefully it'll just keep to the order that wanted it.
EDIT: And Serenwilde politics wasn't always coinflipping!
Sarrasri2007-07-09 08:01:26
Seren politics isn't coinflipping. I have a lot of convincing to do to make Serenwilde go to war without provocation. This might just make things easier. >.>
Shiri2007-07-09 08:05:54
What, doing it anyway? :P
Ixion2007-07-09 08:07:42
War.. heh.
Don't quit your dayjob.

Yep! I was going to get a war one way or another, didn't matter which city it was with. Still doesn't. Anyways, I'm still raving about the different conflict. If only you could all see the grin on my face right now.
Rika2007-07-09 08:11:51
Really, Seren in war equals Seren burning.

No thanks on getting nonfighters/peaceful folk caught in the crossfire.
ICly, picking fights with another Order heavily tied to a city isn't the smartest of political moves, given the so-so relationship with Celest and the hostileness with Glomdoring. Like Ixion, I think this will either not escalate or escalate so much to the extent that Mag/Seren will be brought in and it'll be messy.
OOCly, I don't care eitherway and am having a bit of fun, though I'm slightly miffed at having to protect shrines when the Order is the one that started picking fights when they don't have the current manpower to follow through.
Rave: Stag Sacrifice is neat, running around with 11k health, even neater.

What was it changed to?
What was it changed to?
Furien2007-07-09 08:20:44
Dunno the basics, but the Stag user can sacrifice for 10p and 'bond' with a person and it shares a portion (and a fairly large one, it looks like) of their max h/m/e with them. Works as long as they're in the area with the sacrificer.
Alternatively, the sacrificer can give their life so all allies in the area gain the bonus for about a day, as long as they stay in the area.

Bengal, shpengal...get a savannah cat!
If I had the money for one of those I would own one.
Edit: ok, I fibbed...I've been shopping for one for months... >_>

You know, I've been in love with Servals for a long time but I just don't think I should get one of the Savannah cats. Their personalities don't quite seem to match up entirely with what I'm looking for and they don't get that burnished gold colouring that I like so much.
Still, those ears are pretty endearing.
What ultimately decides it for me is that there isn't a cattery in the state or surrounding area that has a good selection of Savannah cats while Bengals are in abundance.
Edit - And are you sure you're canadian, Sarrasri? The "I want a war and don't care who with" thinking sounds suspiciously similar to a certain U.S. president!
Ashteru2007-07-09 10:17:26
Pls extend the war to Mag vs. Seren, so I can go and raid with Daev, Thoros, Ild and the rest. I'd totally come back for that!

But, in theory:
Seren in war -> Seren burning -> Seren actually motivated to learn how to fight -> Seren learn to fight -> Seren has fighters! Whee!

Although to cite other examples of how well that theory has worked out in other venues, Mhaldor had to be beaten senseless for well over a year before they started to get things turned around.
And then they all ended up as vengeful jerks!
There's better ways to build up a stock of fighters than randomly going to war with the last semi-friendly org but it doesn't so much matter because it sounds like the only reason there might be a war now is to cure the Seneschal's boredom.
Hazar2007-07-09 10:38:10
I was being sarcastic, actually. Remember how well it worked with Glomdoring?
Other factors at play there, but still. An example close to home.
And Celest? Oho, remember how long it took Celest to stand up?

Psh, not my fault Ash likes Mag best...and if Mags raid, he'll happily tag along!
But Hazzy is rite. In a few years, you'll thank us!
