He has the hardware, so now he knows what to do with it. Wink wink nudge nudge.

Since Aesyra didn't comment on it yet, I will.

This talk of female or male, and sweet voices somehow got me thinking about castrati...

Somewhere in the middle (Alessandro Moreschi) you'll find a link to another example of a castrati signing:

"Special" brownies? In the That-70's-show-sense?
Arix2007-08-02 21:08:08
oh yes. Huge ones too, I had to cut them in thirds. So now I got like 9 of them.

I heart Synl (well, Daem, really) proving me wrong. I guess it's possible to time fae after all.

I heart mocking Moondancers with it. For the time being.
And while it's not all that awesome for single combat, it should work out to be awesome in group combat. Going to try timing fae for multiple SDs (really just need pixies to hit together).

I think that actually happened once in a Weakening. Xenthos got hit by triple pixies.
Of course, none of us were actually trying to time it. Put it down to the crazy numbers Seren has.
Edit: Also, I'm curious-- how do you time them? I tried once on myself and it didn't work. It seems to be always 12 seconds spent hostile from the last attack. Or maybe I just need to test more.
Shiri2007-08-03 04:44:39
Shamarah meant timing fae along with your other ones, not those of other people.
Aramel2007-08-03 04:50:19
Yeah, but I couldn't even time one fae on its own.
Shiri2007-08-03 05:13:43
How can you -not-? It just takes 12 seconds...
Aramel2007-08-03 06:07:12
Lag.
I did manage to time a pixie by making it attack me and ordering it to be passive 11 seconds after that, and then ordering it to attack someone else, wait 1 second, and order pooka to force-sleep. It did work in the end, but I suspect that it won't if I get just a teeny bit more lag. Not to mention a nymph would mess me up considerably.

Only way I know to time fae is to return/resummon if they're on the wrong tick, which could take ages (fae have a random element of +/- 4s to their tick from when they were summoned).
Shamarah2007-08-03 11:24:03
Aramel, by saying "timing fae" we're talking about getting them all to attack at once.
Now that I think about it, the method for doing it makes a lot of sense. I'm just going to keep waving it over the heads of the Moondancers for now though
Of course, it's not like it really matters - unlike demesnes, fae gain no particular benefit from being timed with each other.

Summon one every four seconds?
