Kind of surprised on of the Celest gods didn't shout to kill tentacles and eyeballs, them being part of Kethuru and Kethuru bringer of taint and all...
Well, they didn't when the post was made.
Although Viravain did shout how one of her own had allready spent some time cleaning up astral.

I'm also a mercury hoarder... spend waaaaay too much time sitting around, pokin' at new cooking designs and burning coal.

..Terentia and Elostian are part of Kethuru?
It was funny seeing a few Serens shout at our lack of participation, when there was a full group of us killing them.

I LOVE the fact that, despite the fact we're still swamped, we have enough people to defend in this round of violence.
Next lesson...breaking through demesnes without druids.
(I'm imagining defending against this five months ago...it's not pretty. )

Yeralih, because every time you enter the room I always think "Uh oh..hopefully I didn't do something wrong...again."

Yeralih IS awesome I loved the little conversation we had at the archway just before Queen Maeve yelled at us to git. It was long the lines of, "You're making a mess again? *sigh* I'm going to have to clean all this up later. Making more work for me, why don't you!"
Jigan2007-01-09 09:00:33
Sometimes I have to work to create more work. It's interesting.
Many thanks to Narsrim. Maybe now I shall keep my mind focused on the task at hand instead of zoning out. Sorry if I seemed a trifle rude though. I didn't mean to sound bitter.
But don't flirt with my corpse again. That's a no-no.

It's slightly comical and very vulgar. It's not something that only ONE God could do though. Don't see why Aiakon didn't bother to mention any of the other Gods.
Vulgar? I resent that. It was not characterised by ignorance, or a lack of taste, nor was it indecent, banal, crude, or lacking in aesthetic value. I would maintain that vulgar is entirely the wrong term.
Anyway, since it seems to require one, here is a brief justification/explanation.
(1) Charune rather than the others was attacked because he put himself in the firing line.
(2) OOCly, it was intended to be droll; ICly, it's in deadly earnest. The bias that is such a solid feature of Aiakon's in game character is a source of amusement to me OOCly. Again, this is a contextual thing - if you knew Aiakon it would have made sense, as you don't it doesn't.
(3) I like Charune. Charune knows I like Charune. OOCly, Charune will (I hope) have taken no offence. ICly, Aiakon was painfully zapped and wears 5 days worth of truedisfavour. OOCly, that's more or less what I was expecting.
(4) As observed, Aiakon -did- mention the other Gods, and the post was a poorly disguised recruitment drive for Magnagora.
To sum up:
QUOTE
Poor attempt at humour, that MIGHT have been funny if it wasn't so biased.
You have it entirely the wrong way round. It was funny because it WAS biased - it would have lost all humour had it not been. Kharaen, this is irony. Irony, meet Kharaen.

Revan2007-01-09 10:30:44
Have to say, Aiakon is the most amusing character I've ever had the pleasure of RPing with. Revan and he go at each other so bad, and then team up against others 10min later Aiakon,'s public post honestly had me laughing all day long, and what's even better is the Rev/Aiakon conflict going on in the Council. Kudos, Aiakon!
Noola2007-01-09 13:50:40
I LOVED Aiakon's public post! It was totally biased and that made it beautiful! I mean, awesomely biased public posts are fun to read! And one of the things that the public news board is for!
Noola, of course, thought it horrid, but me? I laughed out loud when I read it.
So, my rave goes to Aiakon!

I have a feeling ICly Aiakon despises Hallen's convictions, but OOCly I think he's hilarious, probably the funniest person in the city because he'll insult anyone if he thinks he should and becomes horrendously graphic and detailed about it (as evidenced by the public post). He once wrote this book (don't remember if it got published) about the breeding habits of furrikin and comparing the Pool of Stars to a public latrine (among other more graphic comparisons involving the Megalith) that had me rolling on the floor.
