My random moment of uberluckiness:
The ball finally settles down on 12 (red).
Goldie the Leprechaun exclaims to you, "We have a winner! You've won 1750000
gold!" He returns the stakes for your winning bets, and hands you your
winnings.

For Danae. I hope that if I ever have a daughter OOC, that she'll be like Danae is.

This is kinda a big rave with a little bit of rant mixed in. Extensive. You have been warned.
I am continually impressed with the fact that Glomdoring manages to function. Despite OOC years (IC decades) of bitterness, angst, rivalries, feuds, and outright hatred amidst it's citizens, the commune both manages to stumble forward like a drunken tarantula and keep most of the bitterness from showing when dealing with the novvies. The whole forest is a huge freaking stew of loathing and resentment, but it still drags itself forward. Inexplicably. We're all convinced that we're doing the best for the commune, but we never agree, and hate each other for it, but still somehow love each other enough to keep working and move the whole thing forwards. We're like Shrek sees himself - we're an onion. There's that outer layer of respect, followed by a layer of icy courtesy, followed by a layer of hatred, followed by a layer of repressed sympathy, followed by a layer of respect, followed by a layer of icy courtesy, etc. Incredible. If I saw it described on paper, I wouldn't expect it to work as well as it does.
...alright, just needed to get that out of my system somewhere.

Not quite sure how to take that one, but I see where you're getting it all from.
I can feel searing hatred every time a certain few people smile at me. Oh my, if only gazes might harm.
The line about a drunken tarantula amused me.

See, you're one of the people who's too young to see it all. Trust me. It reveals itself over time.

Soooooooooo, either I'm dumb or just oblivious. I see the general dislike of some that it common to every place you could ever go, but I don't see much repressed hatred. Well, just recently a little, but still not much.
