Sorry was too lazy to clean up, and I don't think the guy will mind I left his character's name in there - but helping him out just made my day wub.gif Much better than hearing I'm a crazy nutbag or having some person only existing to annoy regular players. I hope to see him again! biggrin.gif

I'm going to make it a rave that I -don't- know what he's talking about.

...You do that ON PURPOSE. >_<

Actual thing I'm happy about...making some new friends. Although, they're bloody American. Need to move them to Australia so I can talk to them more. Grr.

Harrassing people about fangirls they don't have is more likely to make them feel self-conscious than happy, I would think...dry.gif

Other than that though, sure! biggrin.gif

My rave is a pretty good one.

After several months of not working, I went into a store, saw an announcement for a job fair, went to an internet cafee and spent the last of my money making a resume, applying for the fair, attending the fair, and being told I got the job this morning. YESS!! I'm employed! If only part time, but it's still a job!

Are jobs really that hard to find for everyone? You're not the only person I've heard complain. I never have a problem, but maybe I'm lucky. They always seem to fall into my lap.

It really depends where you live and what your skillsets are, but for some people finding a job can be really tough.

It took me about a 6 months to find my job, but now that I have it, I get lots of job offers all the time.

Some friends of mine just dropped by to surprise me with an early Valentine's Day present - a fuzzy panda pez dispencer holding a heart! wub.gif

So awesome!

It's joked around in my town that you need a degree to work at MacDonald's.

The job I applied for was Hartman's (a local grocery store), the bakery department. I wanted it mostly because there'd be no long commute to get there, and it was unionized (guaranteed raise and hours, as well as benefits.)

I've worked almost every min.wage job you can get, xept a burger join job, and all of them were actually hard to get.

My favorite example of a tough interview:

Ad says, no experience necessary, all provided in the training.
12$ an hour, full time hours.
Book an appointment, head an hour and a half out to get to the interview.
In the rain.
I get to the building, and I'm told that the first portion of the interview will be a paired interview. Cool.
Lady comes in wearing a Victoria Secret dress.
Employer: "What education do you guys have?"
Me: "Finished high school, have a bilingual certificate."
Second Interviewee: "I've a degree in marketing, and one in pharamceuticology. I'm currently trying to get my business management degree."
Employer: "Thank you, you can go now Mel. Please don't be discouraged from trying again."
Me: "Thank you." -cries inside, kills lady-

Low income jobs shouldn't be that tough to get, but alas, they can be. That's a real-life example up there.
Nerra2007-01-23 04:00:35
I thought you got the job, Kharaen?!?
Kharaen2007-01-23 04:02:19
That's an old interview, one of my most baddest luck ones.

I did get the job, heh, first shift is next monday. I get to make cakes, and pies, and stuff. Going to see if I can design a special cake for my grandma's birthday.
Sylphas2007-01-23 04:48:56
Two degrees and working on your master's, and you're going to work an entry-level $12 job that requires none of that? O_o

Then again, last time a children's librarian spot opened here, they wanted 5 years experience with children, your MLS, and offered $24k or so a year. sad.gif
Noola2007-01-23 06:16:45
That's what happens when everyone has a degree... they lose their specialness. laugh.gif
