Someone just quit in the baking department at the place I got the job for, so I get an extra shift and work saturday
And thank goodness I live just 2 minutes away from the place, the weathering is getting really harsh.

My rave is just making it to the Gas Station this morning. Hurray.
And also this sweet story I'm writing for Bardics, which you shall all fear, damn it. FEAR.
Seriously though, I'm pleased that I've such rampant inspiration available for it.

Common Room of the d'Attai Establishment.
Superimposed over this location, an ethereal forest reaches up to the sky. This
cozy room is full of warmth as brick hearths blaze with merry fires on the
eastern and western walls. The walls consist of darkwood panels, each richly
grained and lovingly polished to a warm sheen. Aromatic rushes of cederwood and
grounded kafe have been spread on the regions of uncarpeted floor, adding a
delightful scent to the air. A counter has been constructed into the center of
the room, various bottles laid on black silk cloths on top of it, and ornate
kegs behind it. A small Faeling clad in a sumptuous robe of black and silver
sits at ease behind the counter, his mysterious smile strangely welcoming. Soft
black velvet covers this low-lying couch, its plump cushions appearing quite
inviting. A set of velvety black drapes have been drawn closed to bathe the room
in darkness. A carpet lies rumpled over the ground. An ephemeral rendering of a
forest is represented here, gracing this tapestry. Leaning back against the
wall, a bookshelf constructed of dark marble bears engravings of the fae. A low
chair rests here, its thick, black cushions fluffed invitingly. A low chair
rests here, its thick, black cushions fluffed invitingly. A wicker rocking chair
sits comfortably here. Lying flat on the ground is a key-shaped sigil. Kalas
Kharaen d'Attai is here. She wields a finely crafted rapier in each hand. You
see a sign here instructing you to use the PORTAL command to enter the
aetherplex system. You see a sign here instructing you that WARES is the command
to see what is for sale. You may use the BOOKSHELF commands here.
p carpet
Perhaps the most distinguished feature of this carpet lies in its unique
size and shape, consisting of the full length of a prone aslaran and
sewn into a squashed outline of the feline creature. Scraggly tufts of
sandy fur have been mended into the carpet's hemp mesh, seemingly not
skinned from a beast but instead forcibly yanked free from a living
specimen. This is evidenced by the tears in the fur's roots, as well as
the poor condition of the acquired pelt. Golden claws tip each finger of
the carpet's paws, each marred with splotches of dried blood, whilst a
single leaf has been sewn over the aslaran's pride. Gleaming emeralds
have been sewn into the aslaran's eyes, and an onyx button supplants the
nose.

I rave today about the fabulousness of the Shadowdancers.
They turned what I thought would be a small smattering of people discussing a potentially boring subject into a full two-and-a-half hour truly amazing philosophical discussion, WITHIN the knowledgebase of the game! All of them contributed brilliantly, and I had more fun in the past two hours than I have in a very, very long time within Lusternia.
Praise be to you guys! You make the game rock.

Clearly the best part is you fainting from lack of sleep/hunger. It's almost like you plan to do so before each meeting.

It's not an official meeting without Druken blacking out.
Much love for the Shadowdancers. But they've always rocked my world.

I am soooo totally, ridiculously psyched that I just finished a "short" story that I've been working on since October. It's thirty scenes, and a bit over 20,000 words long. I love the premise, and had a great deal of fun with the characters, but it's always so nice to come to an end in a project like this, it's nice to feel that sense of accomplishment.
While I will no doubt write two "sequels" to this and compile them into a novel-length manuscript before seeking publication or anything of that nature, I still feel an awesome sense of accomplishment, and I can't wait to see what the people on dA think when I post the last scene.
I love that I've managed to balance writing, Lusternia, college and housework in ways that I was never able to balance other games.
Lusternia doesn't suck the creativity out of me, and that's amazing.

Another rave...
My splendor design was approved. CHECK OUT THE PRETTY!!!
Fashioned from soft midnight black leather, these robes are tailored to
accentuate the female form. The sleeves are tight to the arms, reaching
all the way to the wrist, while the torso is form-fitting and close to
the wearer's curves as well. Two slits are cut in the back, allowing for
faeling wings to be free and unrestrained. Falling flat to the front and
cascading back in a train of sorts, the lower portion of these robes is
made of the same midnight black leather, reaching all the way to a mere
inch above the ground. The collar is flat around the base of the neck,
with a deep hood of shadowy spidersilk neatly attached, covering most of
the wearer's face when raised. Similar silk cascades from the shoulders
and arms nearly to the feet, allowing for a shadowy billowing effect
when the wearer's arms are in movement. Stitched inside the back collar
of the robes is a tiny crow in black silken thread.
It has 65 months of usefulness left.
It weighs about 3 pounds and 0 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Seer Arkzrael, Mistress of the Quill.
It is protected against fire, cold, electricity and magic.
It offers the following defences:
Physical cutting: 75
Physical blunt: 59
Armour Status: 100
It is crawling with dark shadows.
Fitted robes of black leather has no poisons or magical effects on it.
YUM!

I've been very busy IRL, and plus I was starting to get too involved and get OOC pissed at people for IC things, so I decided to take a step back for a week of two.

I love the Harbingers. They don't get raved about like the Shadowdancers do, but we have an awesome group of people. Teasing Daed on the guild aether, harrassing Valarien for little reason, watching the effort the younger members put into being bards... its way awesome.
