Glomdoring politics and government has been one of my favored baliwicks from day one - if you're surprised by this, you know next to nothing about me. But my highest-flying days of conspiracy and statesmanship and propaganda alike are above me now - cut off by a tougher schedule and unfortunate accidents alike. But there's other people who carry the flame, and I'd like to give a shout-out to my favorite civil servants from the Wyrd.
Leiliadhe, you're a star. You've stepped up and stayed there, and I'm not always sure you appreciate how incredible that is. Iconoclasts come and go, people with blazing ambition or great ideas step up into the Court and speak their piece, but they burn out - they overreach, underprepare, get frustrated with the real world and flounce off into the sunset. You show all the best signs of sticking to the high road - slow and steady, getting things done, learning the gnarly details of the game that leaders have to know the hard way, and earning your veteran's stars. Sure, your sense of humor is disturbing, but you're one in a hundred (that number means more in Lusternia, btw). Your work with the nexus conflicts is the next step, and you're getting it. Keep at it. You're heads and shoulders above most of those who came before you.
Ried, you've shown the intelligence, style, and class to step up onto that road, but you haven't been there as long. You have the promise of youth, and I hope you can do wonderful things with it. Don't grow discouraged by what seems to be failure - stick to your guns and see it through. I've truly enjoyed interacting with you, and you've proved yourself an incredible person. I'd like to see you be an incredible leader, too. Illegitimi non carborundum.
Druken, you stepped right out of the old guard and into the new with the same devotion to creativity, industry, and class that you had before. I know you get trapped in the straightjacket of 'oppression', but you've produced a capping renaissance in a guild that a year and a half ago teetered on the edge of nonexistence. You know how to use the old traditions without getting stuck in them, and how to create new ones without falling into lunacy. Keep doing what you do.
Eliron and Exeryte, you both get noted with distinction for staying with it as GAs. Politically, I hardly ever interact with you - but from all appearances you keep your affairs in order, and you've been doing it for a while.
Rhaena, Camerick, and Bhiele - you three get honorable mentions for up-and-coming aides and undersecretaries who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty at the frontlines without convincing yourselves progress and change can only come from the top. I hope you all do well.
I hope to crank my gears back up in a while, but I know there's other people who are keeping the fire going, and that's reassuring on a truly emotional level.

You just stepped down. I'll get to combat stars in a while.

This simple crystal is milky white, almost completely opaque though a flicker of
prismatic colour passes across the surface. Impossibly, although your mind
comprehends the shape of the crystal as a pentagon, it has only four sides.
It has 4 months of usefulness left.
It is strangely weightless.

Explaining your abject poverty, you humbly request a little help from a monk disciple in grey robes.
A monk disciple in grey robes sighs dramatically and searches his pockets, looking for something to give you.
He comes up empty handed.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level 89.
You have reached the illustrious level of 2nd Rank of the Infinite.

influence farmer with lectures
You lecture a hemp farmer on the dangers of civilization, which the Serenwilde protects against.
A hemp farmer slaps his knee and declares that, by the gods, the Village of Delport should follow the Collective of Serenwilde after all!
Shouts rise up from the Village of Delport, as its denizens loudly pledge themselves to the Collective of Serenwilde.
I was happy for a moment or two.
