Why? Influecing is the gives you about the same as bashing would. There are some people (such as myself) who really don't like to bash/hunt. Influencing from 9th to 70th is going to take awhile but if you really work at it and do it enough it is simple.

It scales down, not like 3 monks equals a circle or something. After a while, it takes a few hundred to gain a circle.

no it doesn't, first of all influencing is to powerful at lower levels and to weak at higher levels. And while some might think this is a good thing, it isn't. It makes for a very boring kind of bashing, that is soo easy some people already use AFK scripts for it. There needs to be a realistic chance of you being out influenced by a denizen if you are not paying enough attention, if you want the xp similar to bashing that is. Also higher level influencing needs to cost more than bromides, sparkleberry and scrolls. We wants influencing afflictions.

And? same goes with bashing, it gets weaker as you get to the higher levels. I don't really find influencing that boring at all. As for being influenced out, that is already possable. (Dramatics that can raise the ego level of them) When I influence the only thing I use is bromides...no sparkleberry, no scrolls. Just bromide. As for the afflictions I don't think this is a good idea. as it may turn into the only way to influence is to get a system (something I do not have as I don't PvP or really hunt in general)
I like the money I make off of esteem, it is alot easier than what you get from hunting. and probably more than I would probably get from my trade even though it is Alchemy. ( I mainly use it for myself, and sometimes for guild members if they ask.)
