I'd say that if getting enemied for defending while being attacked for the sake that if I raid a shrine will hit is rather along the metagaming lines. Generally speaking, getting enemied to any organization means you took direct action against it. Call it metagaming, planning in advance, preemptive strike, whathaveyou... still amounts to the same tablespoon of lame. Heck, there are still Seren guilds I'm not enemied to.

Including mine.
'cause we don't need to enemy you to my guild for our abilities to work.

Right. That being the case that Gloms were enemied for shrine abilities to work and not because of any direct action by the Gloms in question against Maylea's order, I simply see it as metagaming to take advantage of shrine powers
Shiri2008-08-09 07:29:19
Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree over the definition of metagaming then. Moving on!

Let's go with you attacked an Avatar of Maylea. Avatars are supposed to be mortal representatives of the Gods, therefore, you attacked Maylea. Enemied. How's that?

The avatar ought not have been in enemy territory then. However, I expect Order enemies to flourish since anyone attacking an avatar gets enemied to the Order, as you clearly think should happen.

I was enemied to Terentia way back when and given the very specific reason of ' So the shrines will hit you'.

-peer- People really should, you know, just ask to get unenemied if they want to get unenemied so badly. Odd folk who just run around without asking. How silly.
