FINALLY finishing Eliron's play!
I was starting to think the whole thing cursed, with the number of things that went wrong leading up to it. But it's done, and everyone who helped with it was amazing.
Lendren, I suspect you of black magic for pulling off as many as you have.

Alabaster Road. (road).
Superimposed over this location, an ethereal forest reaches up to the sky. The stars twinkle in the clear night sky. A cow wanders about aimlessly, minding its own business and paying you no attention.
You see exits leading northeast, south, and west.
You nimbly avoid bumping into a lumbering animal.

QUOTE
Looking as though it was grown instead of cut, the base of this censer has been
formed from silvery moonhart wood, elegant knots and gnarls smoothly forming the
bowl-like holder for a pale incense box. Small holes dot the sides and top of
the box, each giving way to a soft, emerald ambience. Six monolith-like edges
rise equidistance from one another across the rim of the base, five of which
have been attached to thin pieces of rope. Each piece of rope meets far above
the censer itself, allowing for easy carrying.
QUOTE
You carefully light a pale Censer of the Majestic Hart, sending its intoxicating
incense swirling through the air as it sways from side to side. The pungent
scent tickles your senses, filling you with a longing for the beauty of the
natural forests.
You raise your arms and hum deeply the note of the forest. The air sharpens and
ethereal trees rise up from the ground, superimposing a translucent forest that
shimmers with vitality.
Woohoo. I got the best (cheapest) deal out of all the other censers too.

Only because the rest of us didn't bid against you!
The hat is made of bunches of straw, which are somehow held together by ragged
lengths of cloth. The straw is frayed and dry, covered with large black and
brown spots where rot has set in. Bird droppings cake the hat and fill the air
with a horrendous stench. Only the most destitute and craven creature would even
consider wearing such a disgusting item.
It weighs about 1 pounds and 7 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Wildeflower Aramel Talnara.
This pound of raw flesh has been hacked to form a rough cube shape. Blood can be
seen coursing through the veins of the flesh, but some mystic source prevents
the blood from spilling. The flesh is warm to the touch, and its pungent odor
permeates the air around it.
It weighs about 1 pounds and 0 ounce(s).

Yeah... I thought my bid was going too cheap. Of course, it took about two seconds to learn the error.
Maybe it can be fixed... *mutter*
Still ridiculously fun as an event, though. And no doubt was quite the fund-raiser.

So, you didn't mean to be a and buy the water censer, it was just an error in numbers?

In short- yes. I generally go out of my way to NOT be mean. Anyways- whatever, I'm sure this'll work out.
Probably.
Hazar2008-08-10 00:42:27
Wow. That was a nice level-headed reaction to a Mag getting the water censer. Just what we expected.
Karnagan2008-08-10 00:45:31
To be fair, maybe she wanted it for a deserving Celestian. Even so... seems unfair that some orgs wanted their respective items way more than others, and caused such wide price swings. Really odd.
At any rate, I know I suggested a similar item, so seeing them go for huge cash makes me happy.

*Looks at discrepancy between Crow and Hart censer*
(Well, that means mine's better, right? Right? )
Karnagan2008-08-10 00:47:39
*pats Xenthos* Just keep telling yourself that.

No, it just means that we are smarter in that we don't drive our own prices up.

Karnagan2008-08-10 00:51:16
There's no "we" about it. I had planned to stick with a 400-500 cred price price with who I thought was the other Magnagoran bidder. Kaervas just wanted the Taint censer more, I imagine. Unfortunate I was too credit deprived to resist properly after the mistake. Ah well.

After seeing a Mag bought it, I did a double take. I didn't think you were someone to go out of their way to screw someone else over, so I am very relieved to know it was a mistake, and not someone just buying it to deny a less-fortunate Celestian the ability to help out during raids and the like.
edit: I hope you can get your credits back, or trade it in. 405cr is a pretty steep price for something you'll never have a use for.
Shiri2008-08-10 01:18:20
Heh, I suspect the main reason the Hart one is so cheap is people decided to give up and let Shuyin have it. Yay team.

But yes, it was fun. For a while. Even if I did typo and try to address him as Fizban.
