Gathering a handful of salt, you sprinkle it around the ground in a ritual

Standing in the centre of a ritual zodiac circle drawn in salt, you cast your
hands up towards the stars and beseech the celestial bodies for the gift of
absolute destruction, feeling their terrible power fill you. You bring your
hands crashing down and the spheres of the zodiac glow brightly as the stars
shimmer and begin to fall, an ominous shadow falling across the ground.

The skies shimmer beautifully as the stars grow brighter, streaking down towards
the earth.

The stars in the sky burst into pale flame as they descend through the
atmosphere, hurtling towards you in a beautiful and violent meteor storm. The
sky and earth are alight with coruscating white fire as the scintillating meteor
storm annihilates everything in its path with the unbridled power of celestial
bodies colliding.
Renthur is thrown to the ground as a falling meteor erupts in the air in a

Renthur is reduced to charred ash by the awesome destructive might of the

Meteor Storm is AWESOMELY WICKEDLY COOL. It rocks my socks into the ground. And now that I have many vials of blood... it is awesome+++++++.
Also a rave to Renthur. He's a cool kid for letting me test out Meteor Storm.

Celestines should not be tracing out runic symbols in blood to summon fire from beyond this world. They are supposed to be the good guys.

The Celestine guildhall and the changes to the cathedral are freaking beautiful!!!

FINALLY, after 5 hours of baby sitting from eggs to babies to small snakes to young adders to matured reptiles, I (with help) FINALLY finished the quest.
The people who helped me baby sit, but where's my honours line?!

Heh... you'd think there was one, wouldn't you?
Yet I, Gwylifar, Lendren, and many others are missing it as well.

Much to Serella and Alacardael for making me giggle, for all you two foiled my plots.

You raise a holy symbol of the light towards a mighty quinotaur, and a scintillating beam of light burns into his chest.
The Light of Celestia overwhelms a mighty quinotaur, as his soul is purged from his flesh.
You have slain a mighty quinotaur.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level 80.
You have reached the illustrious level of Supramortal.
You have earned the blessing of the Elder Gods!

Could be. By Anaria's time, however, I was already beyond being able to participate or hear about others doing it (Serenwilde isn't likely to let me stand in their forest for 4 hours to watch baby adders. Ah well. Their loss!)

The quest is so awful terrible precisely because of that factor. Originally it was going to be a one-time event, I was told by one of the admins of the time. So the absurd amount of time it takes was no big deal since it would only happen once. The admins were waiting for us to play it out and would just advance each step partially by hand. Then Magnagora refused to let their part get done, and the whole thing ground to a stop. The admins didn't want to wait up for us to work it out (especially not when it stretched on to days) so they made it into a coded quest. And when it was finally done, they left it that way (but never went back to revise the ridiculously long time it takes to better suit a repeating quest). Worst part is the events post is completely wrong about how it happened. Oh well! Not my problem anymore, huzzah.
