Oh come on.. be a little realistic here. Your family incorporates anyone and everyone who makes a character, without any idea of what sort of people they are, just because they happened to be there. When you start doing that, you can no longer claim to have even mediocre standards.

Every other post is practically a Kalas woman making herself out as a sex slave and begging for her fifth or twentieth child. When you encourage your family members to be more like pokemon trainers ("Gota catch 'em all!") and less like mature adults who maybe should have a couple children, you're just promoting a very very bad, Achaea-Bau-like image.

There's only 24 members in Kalas, a few inactive, so less...How can someone beg for their 20th child in that case? Or even 5th? I think Ixion/Athana are the only ones with a huge amount of offspring (hugeish? The Mesard couple still beats them). Unless I get out of Kalas, don't think Dinoniel and I will be having children either...

Besides, this is a RAVES thread, not a bash-on-IG-families thread. Aiakon is just a bitter old man, he's easily ignored, so ignore him Ixion .

As for raves...I rave about...having three days off this week. Yay.

Perhaps we do post on the "looking for kids thread" alot I'll agree there but I noticed that none of the people commenting about the Kalas have ever experienced what it's like inside the family. We don't consider any random person who pops out of the portals --Ixion and I have turned down several people who've asked to be a kid, and saying that we treat them like pokemon trainers is only basing off forum knowledge. Athana spends time with all of her children, has gotten the pleasure to know all of their personalities, invested a lot of time to raising them and helping the grow, and most of all cherishing everyone of them. So all of you guys can stfu.

Having a ton of children is just as bad as trying to recruit a ton of children without any kind of standards. Drop the bias, k?

Don't understand what's the big deal about large families anyways, though Kalas isn't THAT large. 20ish isn't that big out of a population of thousands. Now shush, Fallen.

The family system is screwed up, so some people who -are- Kalas might not even show up as Kalas. Don't forget that part.

And the problem with large families (which that is large.. and a population of thousands? Ha. You really over-estimate Lusternia) is when you can't end up finding anyone but people who are related to eachother.

Not only that, but it breeds snuggliness to the nth degree. The larger the family, the more diluted the quality. Sooner or later, Ix and Athana will be gone, and Kalas will slowly degenerate into a rather large joke.

Fallen is just bitter because one of his alts was rejected. : P

It really is a matter of opinion, a lot of them are really good people. Others I've never spoken with or some I don't care to.

I want to rave about the Serenwilders (or "Seren witches" as Xin says) who have been open OOCly to playing with me ICly. It's broadened my contact with players outside Glomdoring, provided interesting foils for Xin's development and evolution, fun RP, and overall just reminds me that we're not playing against each other, but playing with each other, which can be a nice thing to keep in mind OOCly during all the IC conflict.

I appreciate you being general so I don't feel like but I am being targetted alone, but let's analyze the bolded:

Dylara and Orti, just want a couple children, as she has explained herself, i.e. groaning when I advertise. Narses and Cairam have stated for themselves, they want to thoroughly interview their children and see if their RP matches up well with their own. Balizar and Kalissa... one's inactive. Kharaen and Dion have stated they don't want children.

Which leaves me. Okay, unless you're a goddamn newbie to the forums, everyone knows I ask for children a lot, (or used to, I would like it noted I don't anymore after some considerations I made over Dy's comment). You might not explicitly done it, but if one puts two and two together, you just called me a freaking whore and sex slave.

Even though I can understand what you're thinking (and you are certainly entitled to your opinions), not to mention the fact most people here would agree they like your input on the forums (whether they want to admit it or not), I really don't appreciate the insinuations with what you stated. If they are not insinuations, then they are at the least insults hurled at me and my character.

Also, let's analyze the kids Reiha has while I am it:
Daermon: anti-snuggly, and he's actually pretty smart in my opinion. While I wouldn't say he's an RP nazi, he does have (his own set of) standards (i.e. hating snugglers, furries, nymphos).
Sferys: a really good fighter and constantly helped out, I remember when I first saw him, he was defending Ladantine against bad odds. He's quiet, but polite.
Ophilla: player has been a bit inactive, but I knew her main, and she's well liked.
Cervius: shurbbed, but I saw him defending constantly with no complaint about dying. I talked to him a bit, and before Telrath went inactive, even he and Ooparu were going to consider him. He did some foolish things obviously, but he seemed like a good kid.
Sintor: He's a pretty nice player as far as I can tell, sort of saving Ildaudid's novice alt from being jumped on another game. He is also a great fighter there and here, and he's always polite to his mother.
Serena: alt of a player I know, who's always been a nice gal to me and Ildaudid. I was hesitant at first because I was not sure I wanted an alt kid, but she turned out fine and even keeps me company while I influence. She's not known as a great fighter, but that's not what I always look for in a kid.
Hraddon: Well...hrm.
Kayvros: He wanted to be a thief, which seemed like some interesting RP, though if he ever went through with it, would have caused headaches. I tried warning him the only way he could really get away with it if he was charismatic like Yrael.

Also, I have had several people come up to me (four or more), regular players and newly created alts of regular players, asking to be our kid. I have rejected them all, believe it or not. I like interviewing and spending time with the children considered when I can, and sometimes find that, hell no, this isn't going to work out.

I don't see the quality of kids we have chosen to be so bad as everyone makes it out to be. A couple of bad apples here and there, but for the most part, they're either nice and/or strong people. Grant it, I don't have a demi-god kid, but I'm not even there yet myself. I have to echoe other Kalas' sentiments and say STFU.


I don't mean to ruin this Raves thread, but that really irked me. *cough* Now that I have amused or annoyed you all, please go on with your raves and such, and keep any smart comments about me to yourself right now, I am feeling rather volitale.

Reiha, I apologize. I in no way meant that you were a whore or a sex slave, and I really should have chosen my words better. Its just that with all your babymaking talk, and comments of how all women of the Kalas should be just that.. those were that terms that popped into my head.
