Etil'ck Arthar'rt nods slowly a strange glint entering his eyes.

Etil'ck Arthar'rt hastily throws a large bag of gold in your direction.

Etil'ck Arthar'rt says, "Finally! Now I can start the experiment. I'm sure that
this time it will succeed."

Etil'ck Arthar'rt begins to grin, a look of hunger encompassing his eyes as he
hoists the colourful, charged crystals in a small pouch in one hand, and a few
of the scattered crystals from elsewhere.

Etil'ck Arthar'rt slowly, and almost reverently places the crystals in
concentric circles, with the charged crystals in the centre, though leaving
enough space for a small adolescent.

Etil'ck Arthar'rt shouts a sharp command and instantly a young slave stoically
walks into the room and is ushered into the centre of the ring where he stands,
immobile.

Etil'ck Arthar'rt fishes around in his pockets for a moment and brings out a
fist-sized white crystal, glowing with an inner luminescence which he brings
slowly towards the inner circle of crystals.

As the white light of the glowing crystal reaches the colourful ones, they all
begin to glow harmoniously and a column of brilliant rainbow light erupts out of
the circle, wholly encompassing the boy and causing Etil'ck to jump back,
surprised.

The boy writhes in pain and a murky black cloud slowly begins to seep out of his
orifices. It finally stops, hovering very close to the boy but not quite
touching, when suddenly it forms a spear-like shape and darts out at the
rainbow-light, causing a compression of the air that feels like a thunderclap
without sound.

As the two clash and collide, the black murk slowly consumes the rainbow light
until all that is left is a menacing black cloud laced with rainbow-coloured
veins.

With an apparent target, the black cloud heads straight for boy, encompassing
his entire body as he screams and shouts in agonizing pain. The murk invades his
every pore, his body growing brittle and crystalline as the murk continues to be
absorbed.

As the last of the murk gets sucked into the slave's body, he is completely
changed; his body now takes on a crystalline structure, and his eyes glow a
menacing red. Only a deep crimson liquid can be seen flowing through small veins
throughout his body.
