Also, umm... is it an honours quest? 'cause... after the whole ritual thing... there's no indication of what you are supposed to do next, if there's anything to do next....

There was a bug that prevented the honours line from being given, which has been fixed.
(You've been given the honour.)

What to do next is figure out how to get the tons of wood that suddenly became available for a temporary time!

Is in a quest that lets us pierce the dimensions and chop down ackleberry? ninja.gif

It would be funny to release ackleberry in the future without any trees, furrikin running around homeless, screaming about a man name Richter who's logging company made a big profit off of them a few decades ago. laugh.gif

Oooh, we were like... "Yeah, we could try to swindle their wood from them, but why would we? Noone even hinted at wanting it..." - I wasn't even thinking about wood COMMODITIES x_X

I figured that out, that's awesome! I almost figured it out before, but I was so tired at the time, I did it wrong at first.

This valleys awesome! The people are cute! (Though..Ackleberry is a bit more caring about old lines than I would have expected, which is cool!)

What indication do you have that they don't like serenwilde or anybody?
Unknown2006-11-06 18:20:30
I want to know why a tae'dae went to Celest and a furrikin went to Magnagora.. but no one went to either of the Forest communes..

Cause they don't want us in on thier Great Spirit action?

Or maybe because nobody was logged in? tongue.gif

I was. So were quite a few other Gloms. And tons of Serens were a round.
Daganev2006-11-06 18:24:56
pssh, that doesn't refute the first point!

Does seem kinda odd though that they would go all the way to Celest when Serenwilde was right next to the entrance off the highway.

Explore the area and find out yourself tongue.gif

One travelled down Ackleberry Highway and one west down the Allabaster. They were yelling and trying to speak to people on the highway, and eventually one ended up reaching Magnagora. And I believe one wandered into Serenwilde and yelled that she was lost. There was no intent to "exclude" the communes, it was just how it happened. I do know at least one shouted for all the Basin to hear. They were trying to find Estelbar and simply got lost.

EDIT: BTW, if you see innocuous denizens in unexpected places asking you for help, don't assume they're insignificant! There were some--shall we say interesting?--encounters on the Allabaster by players who wouldn't even deign to recognize a certain nameless furrikin.

In other words, it's the city's faults for standing in the middle of the road.

This is a interesting new area. I keep on getting flashbacks to The Wind and the Willows. Thanks Divine!

Are there any new lucrative bashing grounds/quest areas planned like the Grey Moors?

I'm glad no one posted Mag's encounter with the furrikin... I think we were all worried (at first before we got the urge to kill it) that Nepthysia would lose it and blast the little bugger to Nil tongue.gif

A long-eared furrikin was lost in the Serenwilde. Galaphyrae found her and Nejii escorted her to a rendezvous with Rickatee in Estelbar.

I'd call the new mountain/observatory pretty high as far as hunting grounds go(higher end of medium at least), you might not be able to turn corpses in like crazy(like you can in the moors), but the hunting is still decent enough for people like me. Snow valley too, when I come to think of it. ...and there are a lot of other little out of the way areas, just because an area has only 8 or 9 things able to be hunted compared to the moors which has around 50 total, doesn't mean they should be excluded. I end up in the smaller out of the way areas more often then not myself, they might not be as profitable or easy to get to, but they're usually more desolate.

P.S. I loved the super-sized stinkfish in the new area. divlove.gif
