Pennsylvania, however, managed to vote to spend $20,000,000 we don't have in order to pay Gulf War veterans from the state a few hundred dollars bonus.
I didn't have that question on my ballot. Acrune2006-11-08 21:01:57

Thats what happens when you let the elderly vote.

I was tempted, at least in the Orin Hatch election, to vote for one of the lesser parties. That, or Bugs Bunny, which I ended up voting for on the sherrif (I've always wanted to, and with the Sherrif being this very overweight man, with about three heart attacks already, I just couldn't support him. And there was no one else to vote for.) However, I figured that if there was ANY chance of getting Hatch out, that I had to go for it.
Dunno if you're talking about senate, though.
Yep, talking about the Senate. I knew Ashdown didn't have anywhere near the votes he'd need to oust Orrin Hatch so I didn't feel bad about not voting Democrat in that one. As it stands Ashdown got somewhere near 30% of the vote. Poor gangly Ashdown.
The sheriff 'race' was dumb. Bud Cox crushed everyone in the primary despite being a very mediocre official and then moved on to face the Democrat challenger of... oh right the Dems didn't have anyone for that just like they had glaring gaps in most the other races.

I was saddened to find out that Liberman winning was not any sign of Naci Palloci being to0 socialist for the dems.

Anyone know why Montanna which has a vote difference of 3,000 vots or .3% is declared but Virginia which has a vote difference of 17,000 and .6% isn't?

A mixture of pre-election polls conducted by the AP, voter returns and habits based on county distribution, and other factors so subtle not even I understand them.

We'll have most by December.

Most people just concede. Allen has decided to wait it out, he thinks he still has a shot. So a lot of them are already decided, some are basically decided but not official, and a few are still being looked at.
How'd you not have that one, Zenji? Something like, "Should Pennsylvania incur indebtedness of $20mil so that veterans of the Persian Gulf Conflict can be paid $500?" or something.

Ashdown doesn't know how to campaign. The only reason I knew who he was is because of a website I looked him up on. Otherwise, I heard his name zero times.
Also, as speaker of the house, Pelosi will most likely have to become more moderate if she ever wants things to work.
