Is anyone else experiencing strange amounts of extreme lag over all the IRE games?
I keep lagging out of nowhere then check my modem etc, nothing wrong anywhere else... so I did the classic ping and was getting 2204ms ping back times on all IRE games....
Is there something wrong or is it just me??
Was wondering if anyone else is noticing this?

It happens occasionally, but only on off-peak times. Or maybe everyone just plays at 3 am.

I think its a mix of my cable modem and the server.... add them together and I get heartbreak.
I have the cable guy coming out tomorrow again!!! gonna kick his hillbilly arse into making it work... I will have to say dammit I play an online fantasy TEXT game where I get my arse kicked and die if your stuff isn't working right. I am sure that will go over well...

I've been having this problem for at least a week or so. There's absolutely nothing wrong with my internet connection, since surfing/downloading/world of warcraft work perfectly. (however, I am no wizz so I can't check for sure )
I was experiencing it on Nexus (that's the only client I use) and I constantly have about 0.2-0.3 seconds of lag. Sometimes, I get even 2 seconds lag on commands. That's ignoring the rare (thankfully) times when I get 20 seconds lag on a command or two.

I haven't been getting massive lag of late.
If you DO get lag though, I'd suggest opening a DOS Command Line (All Programs-> Accessories-> Command Prompt) and running a traceroute via "tracert lusternia.com". It should give you the pings/times for all the different servers your data travels through to get to IRE, though it may not work properly due to servers not supporting traceroutes.
That, or just ping lusternia.com

16 connections for me...amazing that I rarely get lag.

I dunno, the entire game always hangs up right around 2 AM PST for me, almost right on the dot, every night. Fortunately it freezes all the mobs too, but it's reeeeeaaaaaalllllyyyyy llooooooonnnnnngggg.......

That might be the same as 10am for me. Every day. There's some sort of server/mechanical reason for it.
Speaking of lag, if there is lag... I usually get it bad. But right now I'm lag free and happy. Tra la la.

OMG. I think it is 10 AM GMT. That means 5 PM EST... but it's 5:48 PM right now, yay

Yes, there's a server lag at 10AM every day, as Aiakon says, and then something where you lose balance/speech balance/whatever and don't get it back for a couple minutes midday Sunday every week.
EDIT: And Gandal, if you're American then you're very confused because America is west of England, not east, and EST is five hours BEHIND (10AM = 5AM), not...7 hours ahead.
If you're talking about some kind of Asian/Australian time nevermind though.

Gandal2006-11-12 03:45:25
I thought it was 5 PM...and...you posted that comment at 3:47 AM PST...wow.

Woah.
Total lagout when fighting just before, now I'm swinging wildly between 2ms and 2000ms pings. Something majorly off, not sure if it's me or the server, though.
