It's annoying that Haley talks in cryptograms since the inn incident. Fix her already! That was the worst move in the whole history of webcomics, ever.
I never played DnD, but I get all the jokes anyway!

Actually, that allows him to put in a lot of funny stuff...like when Belkar, I think, gets attacked by Miko and Haley says something in a cryptogram that is...funny
EDIT: Aha here.

She's speaking in cryptograms? I was never very good at those, how do you figure out what she's saying?

Z = A
havn't bothered to translate any of it yet though.
The easiest way to figure that out, is to find obvious words in the sentence. Like (I, a, the)

It's fun to learn to solve cryptograms ... but if you're lazy (and who isn't?) and just want to read the comic, here's a crytogram-solving applet that works pretty well with no effort on our part. Warning: every OOTS cryptogram has at least one transcription mistake!

When I saw the thread title, the first thing that came to mind was tentaclesex.

That strip was so annoying for non-FF players.

Heh. Was. Now he's something like 666th Circle (sum of the circles of all the Elders he's eaten!).

I disagree. Even if someone didn't play FF VI before (which means they either are allergic to everything Japanese or live on the moon/in a secluded monastery), there's the first part of the comic too. With Elan's note and "what would Roy do", which I both consider funny and cute (in a completely heterosexual way).

I definately agree! And I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. (Don't click the link if you want to read Order of the Stick though, it's EXTREMELY spoilerrific. Start from reading #1 instead!)
So far, I believe the "Elan (and Thog) gets out of jail to save Haley from Nale" story arc is the best one of the whole OotS. Also, OotS is totally the best webcomic. Others have humour, and a very good one to that (8-bit Theater springs to mind), but no other comic has such dramatic and great PLOT, yet still managing to deliver a funny punchline every single strip.
On a somewhat unrelated note, any opinions on Erfworld?

Oots has a plot?

I like Erfworld so far. I wanna see where the series is headed. I also love how they give a nod to the old hex-grid TBS games.

That's what it was? Hm. I'm not getting the plot at all, nor are most of the jokes getting through.

I've been reading OOTS for months, ever since someone posted about it in a thread on these forums. I think I also had it in my signature for sometime. Everyday, I open up firefox, and do the thing that opens all my links at once, which would be Penny Arcade, Ctrl+Alt+Del, VG Cats, MySpace, The Forge, and the Lusternia Forums.
By the way, I had no idea she was speaking in cryptograms...
