From: Estarra, the Eternal
To : Tully, Janitor of the Basin
Subj: Akashic

Though I rarely concern myself with these matters, it should be clear
that the Akashic Records were fractured and shattered while Lacostian
was merged with it. I caution against spreading false hope based upon
whatever hallucinations you and Marina Whytetower may have experienced from the trauma.

I always thought the Akashic records were the sum total of knowledge and if it was shattered, reality itself would shatter...I guess I misunderstood.

Of course, Akashic of legend might not exactly be the Akashic of Lusternia.

Damn, this sure is one hell of an event to justify inactivity of an Elder (if that's what it's all about in the end...)

Highly doubt that's all there is to it given the sheer size of it all... Any ideas what this might lead to, anyone?

EDIT: Maybe we can weave back in some things, like Gaudiguch or Hallifax or Ackleberry when we got to Xion finally... That'd be nifty biggrin.gif
Unknown2006-11-18 14:17:49
Yeah, that seems to be the only plot hole, but I guess we'll find out why...I've made some guesses in-game.

(And Damn CMUD for being buggy and making me post twice).

Genghis? Or other Khan?
Unknown2006-11-18 14:34:07
It's a Star Trek reference.
Caffrey2006-11-18 14:34:35
There is definately a sizable area somewhere... judging by the displacement in explorer rankings. That might be just Xion or Xion plus something else.

I'm hoping for a thirteenth Astral sphere, that rock apearing in astral aetherspace during the lusternia 2 year event describing 13 astral spheres can't be just coincidence. A quick google search and I'm going for Ophiuchus as the sphere name! sleep.gif

Dude... Nobody's found Xion yet...

There is, however, a new area called Tolborra Valley that you haven't mapped yet whip.gif
Ekard2006-11-18 15:23:10
Caffrey is right, there will be new area somewhere judging from rankings explorers.
Shirath2006-11-18 15:59:27
Erm, time to play n00b...
How do you link the Explorer Ranks with a new area..??
Diamondais2006-11-18 16:02:27
As new areas are added, your rank tends to lesson because you havent explored the areas. And so, you have explored less of the world.
Soll2006-11-18 16:03:29
Kaervas is always a Planeswalker. If he isn't, there's a very new area about, either just-opened, or just about to.
Shirath2006-11-18 16:10:42
hah hah hah hah, ok. I understand now biggrin.gif

I have explored it biggrin.gif But I haven't added it to the gif realm map or sent it in on account of studying for an exam at the moment. Sorry! sad.gif

Yes, that's right. Kaervas, myself and a few others have all moved down a rank in explorer because a large new area has been released which we haven't been able to explore yet (Because no one has found it!). Planeswalker is at 95%, Astral Traveller is at 90%. Although it isn't really possible to determine the size of an area exactly from the drops, the fact that several people have dropped a rank indicates quite a large area.

When a new area is added all explored percentages are recalculated on the new total realm size. When Lusternia was released a explorer level was about 300 rooms. It is now approx 400.

laugh.gif I love the motes!

I picked up a description of the Glomborolum Nexus and a part of Trillillial's book.
Fareneth2006-11-18 16:36:39
That's such a horrible OOC way to determining what is to happen.

Well, honestly, that's why we're talking about it on the forum. It's not as if they're going about telling that 'Oh, we're getting a new area because my rank has gone down. oh NOES.'

I wish I could spend more of these here, but I'm tired, have a lot to study, as well as gifts to finish. Yay cross-stitching!

Good luck, though.
