This week has been hell for me (glued to my desk studying for 3 exams D:) and then I end up missing something different.

And I haven't read this yet, *does so now*

I'm personally glad for these little snippets of updates; I'm at my boyfriends house and will only be able to play for an hour or two tonight before we go out.

Nothing really big has happened yet (unless you call Hydrians really big, which they are), really.

I think there were a couple hydrians on prime before the Lacostian's voice bit, but then a bunch more hydrians after that.

I was embarassed for a sec there, thinking I'd found an allready-existing rift in Balach.

It's horribly frustrating not to know enough about the game to know what the heck everyone on CT is talking about. Half the time I'm like, a rift...what's a rift??? What's with all these other cities they're talking about, etc!

Find someone to ask these questions of ingame. When people are talking about something that you don't know of, ask about it. That's how you learn more.

I'll eventually figure it out. When something like this is going on, asking questions is the last thing a novice needs to do. Most folks are concerned with the event and don't want to be bothered with silly little questions like that.

Depends - there are certainly huge lulls in long events like this, more than enough time to ask questions

But still many who arent busy would try to help you.

You know, kinda makes me think of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion where the 'gates' are opening everywhere and creatures are coming through it and attacking everything on sight.

Wrong question. Where is Xion is the correct question. To answer it, Xion is the last human civilization. It is underground close to the earth's core where its still warm. Some people are trying to locate codes that would give them access to Xion but the people that have the codes are notoriously difficult to catch as they appear only in dreams. Sentinels... I mean, hydrians have been deployed but they keep getting destroyed. The whole situation is widely touted as the end of the world but that's slightly inaccurate. Its probably the sixth time this cycle has happened wherein all life is wiped out save for representatives of each race who are then charged to repopulate the Basin. Outside the Basin is probably the Machine City. Er, the Soulless City I suppose.
