I'm an impatient person, to start it off.
Recently, there's been a storm of rain and flooding up here in the Northwest. (Washington). And, because of it, power has been going out constantly.
Yesterday, it fried my friggin' internet to hell. We had to get some..e-card? Replaced, and I have no idea what it meant. I know my older brother fixed it, and he works with computers for a living, so I trust him.
Now, though, I can hardly play Lusty or Achaea at all.
Whenever I scroll, the screen lags in a 'sweeping' motion. Like an invisble, radar-ish line just goes down the screen, whatever output it passes updates.
Whenever I try and scroll the internet with the mouse wheel, it also happens.
Doing NSTAT gives me a five, six second lag for the whole thing to pop up.
I can't even fight anymore, I doubt I can even play games.
I tried changing font sizes, et cetera, but nothing's working.

I suggest asking for advice from Computer Stop in Redmond/Bellevue(?) if nobody can help you here. Guess I'm lucky so far to not have that problem. Or ask your brother what's going on.

Ask your brother to check the video drivers on your machine. It sounds like its defaulted to the "VGA" driver which it does in emergencies when the normal driver stops working.
That'd explain why your graphics updates are taking so long.
