All I'm going to say is,
FIRST ZAPPING!
My first zap, as well. Quite a bang.

Hey, at least it gives me Verithrax's new RP niche.
He's going to start the Enlightenment.

Debating theology and the role of mortals becomes substantially harder when an active God is making quite sure Their will is understood by their followers. Divine Right is more than a posture for insecure bishops here, Verithrax... especially in a world where power and community is more deeply intertwined with Divine ideology than in any other IRE game.
I don't think this concept will gain many adherents.

Oh great.. now Elostian is going to be known as Twilight, but instead of plotting the demise of the world he is going to be all "If I get to know you, you will stop hating me" guy.... oh wait, taht is the demise of the world... nevermind!
Good, now I won't have to get my Twilight IRE gods messed up. I'm having enough trouble with Cassiopeia being all "night" like, and nothing like the Great Spirit.

I dissagree... Read the book that Roark wrote in his fulcrux.

Verithrax's position is simply that mortals are better than gods, because they have potential and because restrictions breed greatness. Of course there aren't going to be many, or any, adherents to this - Nobody wants to get zapped - But it'll be fun. Kind of like the Discworld atheists, who spend a lot of time underneath copper domes to avoid (Totally random, of course) lightning discharges. Power does not equal right.
Daganev2006-11-21 00:47:47
Thats what Roark's book says. But its not restricted to mortals, because gods also have restrictions.
Verithrax2006-11-21 00:52:16
Anyway...
Let's stop this hijack now. If you want to talk about it further, you can open a new thread.

Yay, Ying-Yang gods.
In some ways Elcostian is very much like Morgfyre... how curious.
