Arguing isnt fun on the Turkey Days.
Arguing always happens on Turkey Day... I try to hide from it... but no no never can escape the Turkey Day argument, be it "Why didn't YOU check to see if we had (insert some ingredient)" to "That football team sucks pay me the 50.00 you owe me from losing last year before I bet you again"

My thanksgiving only includes my immediate family (though there are six of us, and seven this year because of my sister's fiance), but our dinner conversations usually revolve around embarassing memories of my siblings and I when we were younger and bodily functions.

aww, thats sweet
My thanksgivings usually consist of about 10 aunts and uncles, 5 cousins, grandma's, grandpa's, etc. Everyone brings their recent husband/wife/girlfriend/boyfriend and laughs at the newcomer. We usually seperate into clicks while waiting for the final preperations of the turkey. Uncles and some cousins hang around the tv, scratching themselves looking at football. Aunts and some of the girls gather in vicious circles grabbing any nearby males and then bombarding them questions about their love life, etc. Grandma is usually sitting by her lonesome looking for a solitairy confidant to talk with the rest of the day. Kids are playing video games in their own rooms. Everyone is busy in the big house. When we finally gather around the huge table for dinner, we go around the table saying what we're thankful for ( OI! ) and then chow-down in silence.

I you Veo.... Happy Turkey Day.... and remember if it wasn't for the Indians... the Pilgrims would have starved to death... so lets all thank the Native American Indians too!!!!!
And if it wasn't for the pilgrims... the Native Americans would've never had smallpox... so lets all thank the Puritan-descended Americans too!!!!!

Psh. The Spanish were here first.
Hooray for fleeing from England though!

Fleeing England is a fine tradition that dates back to the invention of steak-and-kidney pie

Black Friday... bah.... I had to plow a shopping center last Black Friday... what a bunch of idiots, they expected me to move out of their way... So I did... and left a 5ft pile of snow in the lane while I went and plowed another part.... Stupid people

I agree. A family event just isn't a family event without at least 4 people in the kitchen arguing over -everything- and one relative trying to be referee and send people to their corners.

Isn't it kind of sad how the slaughtering of innocent birds, right now, gets more attention from the general public than the direct and indirect slaughtering of innocent native americans, a couple hundred years ago?
