Silly Americans, times like this really make it obvious that cultural imperialism isn't total when I am still confused about why this day is important. Especially if like Christian holidays it was first absorbed by a dominating society.

Just immediate family this year. Although, I actually enjoy the extended family(most of it). Actually. Holiday get-togethers are about the only time when the extended family doesn't have fueds going on. And it works the same pretty much as Balizar's family. Only, there are 2 little kids left in the family. The rest of us are all older now. The guys get together and reminisce about funny experiences( some of them involving the law) or funny accidents. Usually no football. Nobody in my family is a real football fan. You will very rarely see a football game on our TV. My dad sometimes watches the BYU vs. Utah State game every year though. The women just hang in the kitchen.....I don't really know what they do, as I don't go in there except to put out the fire that they inevitably start.

Yay, Thanksgiving isn't thanksgiving without all the fun fighting, bickering and stress. And it has already started, I have cranky people, whining people, and rude people already since it has turned midnight. Woot Thanksgiving.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING all you forum trolls, RPers, griefers, and nerds. It's the second best holiday of the year.

I think I'm the only person who's never had a stressul/argumentative time over Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving was great this year, I was reminded how much it sucked 2 years ago when I was living by myself stuck at school with no awesome dinner to look forward to.

No leftovers this year though.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! The holiday swallowed me whole! I was barely ever home even! I've been living on left-overs all weekend and prolly have another couple of days worth still!

Did anyone go insane and try to shop on Friday though? Cause I did, and it was disappointing. Not one fist-fight broke out over any of the over-priced-so-it-can-be-discounted merchandise in any of the places I went.
