Promenade of roses.
The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. Roses of
glittering black fill the garden, surrounding a single giant rose at their
centre. Brennan Stormcrow paces here, his cadaverous body twitching with sudden
jerks. The massive bulk of the Ebonglom Wyrdling lies in coils upon the floor.
The gigantic form of Crow is perched on a nearby branch here, his dark shadow
spreading across the ground and his single eye glowing a deep red. Dressed in
liquid shadows, Rowena Nightshade stands here regally poised. There are 2
corpses of a mountain rockeater here. Spinner Arkzrael, Disciple of Eventide is
here, shrouded. She wields an athame dagger in her left hand. The Moralis, Lost
Priest of Viravain is here. He wields a golden sickle in his left hand and a
mystic cudgel in his right. Druidess Sybl of the Blackthorn is here. She wields
a midnight black tear stained violin in her left hand and a golden sickle in
her right. Ragniliff, Ward of Hyrtakos is here, shrouded. She wields a barbed
silver rapier in each hand. Master Arel Ai'Oushi is here. He wields a magic
tome in his left hand and a golden lyre in his right. Shadowbound Kadava is
here. He wields a nature talisman in his right hand. Druid Kundu Kor'Lathh of
the Hemlock is here. He wields a mystic cudgel in his left hand and a basic
wooden kite shield in his right. Druid Kuraitaiyo of the Rowan is here,
shrouded. He wields a longsword etched with black lightning in his left hand
and a nature talisman in his right. Kaervas d'Murani, the Ascendant Fury is
here, shrouded. He wields a mystic cudgel in his left hand and a gold and iron
buckler shield in his right. Alianna, Maiden of the Mists is here, shrouded.
She wields a sapphire lyre in her left hand. Queen of the Night, Shayle
d'Iasani Treeripper is here, shrouded. She wields an athame dagger in her left
hand and a butterfly-winged shield in her right. Spirit Warden Xenthos, the
Ebon Strategist is here. He wields a baleful rapier of darkened steel in each
hand. Viravain, Child of the Wyrd is here, wreathed in divine fire. Gengen is
grumbling to himself slightly. He wields a worn lute in his left hand.
You see exits leading north, east, west, and out.

You didn't think she'd be killed permanently, now did you?

No, but.. Eh.. I thought there would be a new Divine. Ah well. Heh. I'm happy for Glom, they finally have a Patron. Good for you guys.
Soll2006-11-25 20:59:34
Let's hope they don't reject her.
Felandi2006-11-25 21:14:02
I can't see why anyone is suprised, her essence was dispersed into the forest as she was pulled down. Nobody actually say her -die-. Even the event post on the website said the she 'apparantly' died.
Unknown2006-11-25 21:16:31
Not even the Forest liked her so it spit her back out.

Now that you mention it, Visaeris was supposed to be gone forever too.
Not to mention Cuber, that pest still clings to the forums like the plague. Actually, he didn't return because he never really left.
Okay, enough of self-immflamatory comments. Good for Glomdoring to have a patron/matron back. I wonder is it the same Viravain OOCly as before.

She's darling, so cute!
Tael2006-11-25 22:08:35
Hehe. Yeah, She is. Glom got a cute little Goddess.
Taraki2006-11-25 22:09:16
Like a little kid, I want one of thosae too now...
...on second thought.... I'll pass on having kids...

She's being rebooted as cutesy but something will happen to make her crazy/hateful/messed up. Sounds familiar. Boo Viravain!
Unknown2006-11-25 22:29:56
So she's like the old Viravain now? Old as in pre-Glomdoring, when she arrived with Hajamin and was sickeningly cutesy-like.

Leaping to conclusions usually leads to incorrect assumptions. Who knows, maybe She'll be normal? That'd be odd and different thing for glom.
Viravain is on my list of things that provoke irrational hatred along with the Celestines, shouts and a few other things.
She'll end up in Glom hating Serenwilde. That's where I'm putting my bet. If only there was a bookie system.
Narses2006-11-25 22:43:07
I for one find the whole thing horribly amusing.
The Glomdoring players all decided that having a Godess around who had complete authority over everything was the reason behind the low player base and function of the commune. An entire OOC discussion errupts, councils form and conclude and Viravain is removed.
Now you bring her back? I honestly don't get it, you are re-introducing the problematic factor all over again. She created Glomdoring, so she is the complete authority.
Her image was never the issue, but her status as creator of Glomdoring will always make her actions an example by which everyone should strive to act.
Whatever

What is it you want to bet on? You can bet at roulette and blackjack tables or with a bookmaker.
That's what I got the last time I tried the 'bet' command outside the roulette area, a few weeks ago.Tael2006-11-25 22:47:02

My guess is that She will indeed be in support of Glomdoring, but She'll maintain Her cutesy innocence and let Glom do it's own thing. She'll probably only act as a figurehead if anything.
