Not as Anaria no. Other characters, yes.
You're Anarias and Anaria?
Anarias2006-11-28 01:24:46
The only thing I could see it being changed to would be a jig.
Edit - From Wikipedia: A jig is generally a custom built tool, usually made by the smith, to perform a particular operation for a particular task or project. For example, a smith making decorative scrolls for an iron fence will make a bending jig to apply a particular shape to the stock, ensuring that each scroll has the same bend.

A jig is also a stupid dance that people like Ashlee Simpson do when they are busted lip synching a song on SNL

...What the heck would a shovel have to do with forging?
You're the one who posted a pic of a forge with a shovel, not me.
Exeryte2006-11-28 03:11:08
Alright, how about a bucket of water? You can douse the forged material halfway through, and it will harden into the perfect shape.
Didn't think so.
Gwylifar2006-11-28 03:14:26
I voted anvil because it's the most absurd and therefore delightful.

honors anarias
There is no such person, I'm afraid.

I typically think of a jig as more of a woodworking thing, and not smithing. However, since you did find it defined in that context, I'll go ahead and say that I don't think a smithing jig would really be useful for forging weapons and armour, at least in the Lusternian sense.

Anaria and Anarias are the same person, except Anaria is the female version.
Daganev2006-11-28 04:35:16
How did you Anarias get a name change?
Vix2006-11-28 04:48:33
Same way you're getting the Hammer of Forging a name change. By asking Estarra.
Anarias2006-11-28 04:53:22
Vix is right though some people believe some weird things about how that all happened.
Richter2006-11-28 05:02:31

How did you Anarias get a name change?
On the very rare occassions when we allow a name change of an established character, it is usually announced publicly (so no one can "hide" behind a new name). I think it's only happened once before Anarias for reasons having to do with a duplicate name for an established character in another IRE game.
Anyway, Anarias did undergo a permanent sex change (you can contact me if you are really interested in one) and I agreed to the name change being that it was so very similar to the old name that no one would doubt who it is.
P.S. The check should have went to me and not Matt!

That makes me think of tenderizing meat. Or that game with the weird balls and the square metal pins you try to knock them to or through or whatever, crocket (unless I've butchered the spelling ).
But not forging.
Bellows FTW!
(or tongs. Tongs are ok too)

*cough* but not the case for Aia and Aiakon, right?
Daganev2006-12-01 16:22:44
Sooooo... Tongs it is then?
