Do you test anything, Forren? Tumble is not hindered by whirlpool... but it can suck you back in (more so for larger races given they tumble at the speed of sloth) most of the time right after you move out of the room, thus your net movement is hindered, but tumble isn't, technically speaking.
One major concern with Whirlpool though is that it hits through shield.

It's the sucking you back in part that has more of the problem. You shouldn't tumble out to be immediately sucked back in.

Bad Forren Bad!
Well since stonewall poses a minor concern and as Narsrim pointed out, Great Pentagram with a flamed monolith is a major concern (You won't even need the flamed monolith since noone can teleport to you from the Pool), perhaps its time to reconsider putting the Pool of Stars back to its original position?

Bah, different complaints about Celestia all get put in one and make Celestia too weak, now...
Unknown2006-12-08 03:45:16
I don't think the position of the Pool should be put back the way it was, which was too good for defense. Why not just add an extra exit from the current room to a nearby one?

I think I echo the sentiments of many when I say, "what. the. ."
I can't comprehend your point on stonewalls, heck let's drop the stonewall issue. Celest needs two exits from the nexus. As discussed, Mag's got two, foresters have trees and exits.
I'm not even gunna touch the whirlpool thing, except that other druids/mages have local area effects that extend outside the meld. We're getting a nerf, so PLEASE quit whining about it.
I'd like to hear Estarra and crew post ideas about this nexus movement.
If you cannot understand it Neraka, you need to fight more, as Narsrim stated.... stonewalls are actually no big deal.
Yes there is going to be a nerf hopefully with whirlpool, but YOU are not getting it unless you changed guilds suddenly after they made TH reasonable. So please do us both a favour and don't discuss something you do not understand and obviously have never had happen to you. But yes whirlpools can pull you into a demesne, just ask Tuek, Athana or Daevos..... During a FFA they all at some point were OUTSIDE of an aqua demesne and were pulled into it..... I guess that is the whirlpool effect, I get it mixed up with the insane current effect sorry

Not the case at all, the incident when I posted we had Forren, Malicia, myself, and something like 4 others, or maybe more, against the 4-5 raiders, all itching to get out, and using our two people who had crash to knock the wall down as fast as we could... only to have it put back up again. So no, we did not want to cower at the nexus as you'd like to beleive.
The rest of your post doesn't even deserve a responce other then:
Just let us teleport away from the nexus. I don't care if I can't summon into guards. It was nice, it was easy to counter, it was fair as anyone could do it, but whatever, no huge loss as it rarely worked anyways. Its just incredibly stupid that a whole defense effort can be nuetralized by a single wall, and I'm not really sure what you're smoking if you think its fair the way Celestia is now with the change combined with the crazy usefulness of stonewalls.
I know you can't beckon to the nexus, so likely others in that list are blocked too.
I am impressed you didn't want to cower at the nexus, kudos to you this time, now the rest of my post makes perfect sense.
You do have one valid point, now that the summoning thing is handled, you should be able to have 2 exits. But definately not 4 again.
4 exits were just insane. Celestia needed to be nerfed some, and it was. Being able to port from the nexus should be ok, just not summon to the nexus.
By the way, I am glad you banged your head.... I did my job....

Why did you not answer acrunes first statement when he first made an inital comment implying that people complaining are babies. I made my statement in response to numerous comments like this. Therefore, I suggest you learn the concept of context, also humor. When you place my statement in context to what was said by acrune, revan and others that I couldn't be bothered listing, then one understands that I was not saying only celest or magnagora does it. A sharp person or a person with a sense of humor would see exactly what I was pointing out. Are you not sharp, Geb?
His first statement was not in the same vein as Revan's statement implying that only Celest hangs by their nexus. That being the case, my statement would not be appropriate as a response to his. Now yours was an appropriate response to Revan, but you did not make your statement against his. You made it against mine, which was also appropriate against Revan's statement. If my statement was made without quoting Revan's statement, then you would have quoted me in context and your statement would have been a valid one to make.
Also, you evidently do not understand the concept of context, because you have to include all of the statements to make yours humorous. Just quoting me shows you did not read what I had quoted, and so places your statement out of place. I suggest you go back to the drawing board and try again. Your humor at best was juvenile and out of place, and that is why I did not catch it.

His first statement was I believe in the same vein of pointless insults randomly thrown, That being the case, my statement would be appropriate as a responce to his and of course numerous other comments yours inculded. Now my responce was appropiate to revans, acrunes and gebs among others responces but I did not place revans, acrunes or many others in my responce, instead I selected the person to last make a responce on this level, which just so happened to be geb. If my statement was made quoting just your statement or all of revans, acrunes and numerous other statements then my statement would have been just as valid to make.
Also you evidently do not understand the concept of space, or humor, because you do not have to inculde all of the previous statements to make my responce valid. Just quoting you shows that I assumed that people would be sharp enough to realise and understand the flow of a conversation, are you not sharp geb? I suggest you go back to the drawing board and try again or perhaps find that rod. My humor is of course juvenile and quite simple, which is why I'm surprised you did not catch it.

What all is still allowed to knock you into a nexus? I thought it all was blocked, but *details removed*. Lived though

Take a look at the news post. Things like this should be BUGged, not discussed on the forums.
Acrune2006-12-08 17:17:38
But that would involve me finding it. Eh, maybe after lunch. From what I remember of the announce, I thought it was magical transportation that was blocked, such as summon and teleport and empress. Though beckon doesn't work, and thats not really magical.

Size is pretty important for crashing, probally more than strength.
After all.. it's about your weight. You're not punching the wall.. you're throwing yourself at it.
P.S Please don't nerf stonewalls. Let's not have one knee jerk change instigating a second. Let's just sort out the first so that the second isn't an issue.

Fly.
Or send someone to fly, teleport, flood, put up defences.

The only thing that was changed was teleporting and summoning, if I remember the post correctly.

Pursuant to a discussion on the forums, we are trying an experiment

Guess I was wrong, I'll edit my posts about the bug.
