Confusion reigns!

A few days ago, a friend of mine who used to work here at my job sent an email with her latest ultrasounds and the news that she was having a little girl. This email caused quite a stir here at work. Not just cause of the girly squeals of delight at the news of that the baby was a little girl and her pretty name, but because apparently the last sentence written confused EVERYONE I forwarded it to.

"Hope all is well with everyone - especially the two of you with April babies on the way! Panda & Missy, feel free to share the u/s pics."

Because everyone knew that 1) Missy is pregnant and due around April and 2) my nickname is Panda, this sentence was taken by all to mean that I was one of the 'two of you with April babies'!!!

After several days of wondering, one of my coworkers just finally asked me a few minutes ago. I nearly died laughing and cleared it up real quick. I told them that until I AT LEAST started dating anyone, if I turned up preggers everyone would know cause I'd either be screaming about alien abduction or the second coming.

We all got a big laugh out of the whole thing!

Anyone else got any funny stories about how a simple email got all confused and led to a crazy misunderstanding?

Wait, so was her puting Panda in the email a mistake, or did it mean something else? unsure.gif

No, she was telling me (Panda) and Missy that it was ok to pass the email and pics along and tell the rest of the office - that's what she meant by sharing the u/s pics. The part about the two april babies was directed at Missy and at another friend of her's who'd gotten the same email.

It was two different things, but she worded it silly.
