Pin Leg

Does anyone else think pin leg is vastly too powerful?

+ Pin Leg can be given instantly. Using scimiars with lunges, pretty much anyone can pin leg me with 73 cutting splendor robes in a -single- lunge. In fact, most people double pin leg me as they double lunge.

+ Pin Leg is one of two afflictions (the other being attraction) that blocks tumble.

+ Pin Leg vastly hinders curing.

+ 1-on-1 there is no real benefit to not rend. Trying to keep someone pinned doesn't do much for you.

+ In group combat, however, pin leg is an be-all/end-all as you cannot move -or- heal effectively.

I just had a fight with Laysus/Flacarealah in Faethorn. All Flacarelah did was pin and then just sit there. It took Laysus quite a while to kill me and literally, Flacarealah -did nothing- except sit there and pin. If I would writhe (I had aeon/anorexia/asthma, which is impossible to cure while pinned), she would re-pin before I could writhe again. This same tactic is used by pretty much every organization, and I've seen it take down anyone and everyone. If you can get someone pinned with aeon (with someone who will not rend, but rather just exploits the fact you cannot feasibly cure anorexia/aeon/pin leg fast enough to stop re-pinning), you are likely dead.

Pin Leg didn't used to stop tumble. I have no idea why it changed, but it needs changed back. Either that or Pin Leg should be more difficult to achieve... perhaps if it was not possible on a lunge -or- just moved to a swing.

In the end, I am bias/angry because I just died to this, but using a Ferlas-ish mindset, I would argue that any combination that basically shuts someone down near instantly degrades combat. There is no difficulty in instantly pinning someone while you buddy whores aeon 2-3 times in a row, and then just does whatever.

In my specific instance, I was stuck for over 2 minutes trying to writhe so I could focus mind to cure anorexia to in turn cure aeon. With the 1 second delay of aeon, I was instantly re-pinned. By the time I was able to writhe, clear the writhe time, and un-impale, Flacarealah had regained balance and -immediately- repinned before I could ever writhe the second blade. There was just nothing I could do.

I'm open to ideas on how to counter this, but from what I can tell, there aren't any decent options except pray that you don't get hit with aeon/pinleg at the same time.
