Hullo.

Right now i'm a Paladin taking Sacraments and have not specialised yet.

I was wanting to spark off some opinions as to what style is best as a Paladin.

I like the look of Pureblade with a Katana due mainly to the aesthetics of it, but i like to bash when i'm not doing anything and if i can't bash fairly well then i get severely bored. So first of all are there higher-tier bashing skills that involve the specialisation or do you stick with DSL'ing everything to death with Swing/Jab and a nice pair of blades? If you do get another bashing skill, is it better than said normal slashing and is it any good in general compared to other classes?

Opinions on other knight classes are welcome as i'm not that far into things yet, but the reason i chose Paladin was because it's nice to see a "holy knight" class in an IRE game that doesn't suck.

Regarding bashing, you just get to swing and jab things to death and that's it...

Warriors (the actual name for the archetype)... is defined by the weapons you wield.

Your bashing skills go up and down based on how strong you are, and what type of weapons you own. And then theres the skills that affect bashing in other ways, such as numbness, or regeneration (skills most people never actually use) and other such things.

I don't know if that was analism due to you not liking that i've obviously played another IRE game, but DSL'ing is double slashing, which can easily be a universal term, i'm aware that "DSL" isn't the exact syntax.

Fair enough, so really it doesn't matter what knighthood specialism i go for other than PK.

Most of us came over from the other IRE games, while for some this is our first IRE and we've tried the others.

Many people havn't played other IRE games... some people only know "DSL" to be a type of internet connection

yarly srsly. You might try wifi'ing your way to find these answers. You might be able to then cable'n your own mind on the matter. Best of dialup'in to you.

The word DSL was used in the most slack and unimportant way and my whole post was completely understandable to anyone, why not just contribute to the topic instead of chasing new people away by picking faults.

I'm capable of finding these things out on my own, but it had crossed my mind that these forums have a purpose, and spending four lots of credits just to test out four+ skillsets is a little excessive given the vast pool of knowledge already present, don't you think?

He answered and also asked a question. Geez. If I were mean, I'd make a poll, how many people know what DSL'ing is or not. And...does "spending four lots of credits" mean transing four skills?

You're going to learn swinging or bashing early on in knighthood and then do that for the rest of your life. The rest of the skills in the specialisations are all about pvp combat and not bashing. I like pureblade/axelord for that because I don't like my arm balance out of sync. Its entirely a personal preference for me though.

Most people would say no, but most people would be thinking yes, why would all of the regulars group up to support the random noob who started an argument involuntarily..over another regular? If you've only ever played Lusternia and never peeked outside of the box you're being ignorant.

Transing four skills is one thing, transing four skills on four different characters three of which i will never use, all for test purposes is another. Please, tell me that isn't ridiculous, or is it something that you would do?

Thats why you spend the extra gold on making sure you have weapons with the exact same speed. All of mine do.

Since DSL is an abbreviation, I assume I'd need to be on the FORUMS for other IRE games...

I guess I never reached that high in any Knight I've played on other IRE games to know what DSL means.. I'm used to Witchen/Shaman and Druid combat... so yeah... never went past level 30 in any other game other than lusternia

Due to Corinthians post, i do apologise. Not because i was told to by Gandal, but because said post made it obvious i'd read into the earlier one wrongly. I won't "do as i'm told" unconditionally, a post count of four doesn't mean an age of four.

For the record, saying "I'm not sure wether that statement was you being anal" isn't an insult, it's an observation. Clearly he/she wasn't, and i misunderstood.

And a clarification, DSL isn't 'just' an abbreviation, it's a common term througout all 3 other IRE games, one that i've never heard called by its full name.

So.. am i giving up on my attempts to use the forum or is this topic going to get a bit more relevant..

DSL is an acronym from the other IRE games(ie Achaea and Aetolia, I'm not so sure about Imperian) for a skill called Double Slash use by the knight classes in those game.

Now that the answer as to what DSL is let's get this thread back on topic and stop being mean to one another.

And, since you want this topic back on track: until you get a decent amount of criticals, warrior bashing sucks in general, and I'm not sure about what happened now, but before, one-handers were generally better (more criticals and such)

I never found bashing to be bad, as long as you have good weapons, and trans your knighthood.

Just curious, what's different, bashing-wise, between master knighthood and trans?
