Well, in my constant search for a less immersive mmorpg to balance the thrill and intensity of Lusternia sometimes, I've come across a very interesting game called Rappelz: An Epic of The Ultimate Creation Creature, and I was wondering if anyone else here was playing?

It's a completely free (yes, completely free) 3d mmorpg in the gameplay style of WoW, but I think with a much more interesting aesthetic. It's only just come out of beta, so there is the occasional bug and unfinished feature, but overall it is really quite impressive in terms of the quality for a zero cost game. It's kind of got a dash of card game in it, because all the characters can catch and grow pets to help them fight, but its not as cartoonish as it sounds.

So, anyone here already playing or interested in trying it out? It's a little light on the documentation side of things, but you can see the website at rappelz.gpotato.com. If so, pm me or look for either Zaojin or Kaevros on the Yeti server!

Yep played but had to stop dofr awhile, Level 20 here, warrior build (dunno what do they call them yet).

Not sure if I can take an RPG seriously that uses Zs for Ss.

I played a nice game like that called Cabal.

But i don't have time to download and play games anymore to look at this one.

Well after looking around, I guess the English isn't as bad as other games... though for one of the character bios I swear I can just almost see her nipple.

Aye, the game right now is overrunned by summoners who summons 'pets' which they level up along the way. Probably that's what they mean as "Ultimate Creature".

Anyone may summon pets, you just need to find a card for a pet type (they drop randomly from things, (I actually like the item drop rates in that game, you go through the newbie island and end up with all your basic gear just from things dropping and quests))

Anywho anyone can summon a pet, you just need the basic skills to be able to summon them (basic newbie skills everyone gets) a card, and a viable thing to use it on, have the card in your inventory, use the tame creature spell on the correct creature (I tamed a turtle! ) it will be tamed, then you need to kill the mob (beat the creature into submission). Then you have a 5% chance to successfully capture it with the card, at which time it will be in the card and you go to a creature expert in time, combine it (or something..) and you can then summon it thereafter, and res it if you get it killed. The join creature attack move is nice, I've got a warrior deva right now, and he does around 140 damage with a forcechip active on the monster, and his pet does about 40-45 damage with the forcechip active, so it's a nice addition. He's still a newbie pet mostly though, they call it 'basic level' I think. Anyway, anyone can summon and train pets, the three Summoner classes just do it better, and faster.

Ashura females are 90% nude >_> cept for their rank3 armor, which actually covers most of them.

Then again Ashura males don't wear much either. Ashura are the Bad race, if you want prime and proper (or just like their blue hair like me) go Deva. Then again Gaian rank 1 clothing is so awesome.

Ooooh, so that's how you summon... sorry I'm just the kind of guy who hack and slash all the way to glory. Still a total noob, played when the game was first released and stop a week later when I got to level 20

Well, I downloaded it, but there's soooo much downloading involved. First had to actually download it, then unzip it, then install it, then update it.

Hmm, wish they could have updated the file as well so that there will be less time in updating. Hmm, wonder how many updates I've missed

Not that I can complain since most of the pics I draw the girls are nekkid, but that's only cause I'm too lazy to put clothes on them.

For me it was around 2 hours to download (233kb/sec), 10 minutes to copy from the temporary folder to my hard drive, 10 minutes to extract(unzip), 10 minutes install, and 25 minutes to download all of the patches, for a total of around 3 hours waiting. It -is- worth it though folks, stick with it! The game is awesome.
The ashura guys are half naked too! The ashura females frontal parts defy the laws of physics with their seemingly independent movement however.

I think 75% of all female character in all online games are half naked and sexy. They are skinny despite wielding huge axe and maces.

Just remember, 90% of those females are played by guys.
