it's more easy on the computer and it runs well, way better than Rappelz

Can you play using Epic III before Dec 20 or would I have to download both to play right now and then then?

After I made it off the trainee island I was so bogged down by lag it took 10 minutes before I could even send out a guild tell on the lusty channel... It sucked and I eventually waited another 5 minutes before I figured screw this for now and logged off.

(Yes I had it set to minimum stuff, and even removed some additional things to lessen the lag)

The Trainee island has 3 channels (the mainland has 1) essentially there are 3 trainee islands to reduce the amount of people in each of the three, you need to go to the teleporter in the trainee camp to change between them (and eventually to get to the mainland) Maybe that was your problem?

I tend to play at 'off peak' times, so the lag isn't bad for me, for the typical person, playing at the American or European peak times, it can get pretty bad though.

Epic 3 is a new version of the same game, but the client for it is new, something about reducing lag, or some such. You need to download it separate; you can't just let the game auto-patch for you. Speaking of that they just went down for maintenance to put in all the new changes, so to any Lusti's out there playing rappelz haven't downloaded/installed Epic 3 yet, you'll have to now.

It took me 5 and a half hours down download myself.

What items am I gonna need to be looking for as a Kahuna? For end-level stuff.

There isn't really 'end-level' stuff yet, they don't even have the third job released yet, the game's only been out of beta for about a month now.

Mostly you just want to get a full set of equipment, and when you hit level 20 get a full set of R2 equipment (make sure it's armor for your class/race though Kahuna's can't wear Deva armor/ect.. Also get a weapon that fits with one of the mastery's your class has. I see a lot of Kahuna's with 2 handed maces for the magic attack that has, without going fully Magic with a staff so they can still dish out damage. (kahuna's are 'battle mages' to me) a good array of spells that compliment their physical attacks.

R1 equipment: Level 1-19
R2 equipment: Level 20-49
R3 Equipment: Level 50-79 (way in the future, no one in the guild is this far yet)
R4 equipment: Level 80-? (even the fan sites don't have a lot of info on stuff this high yet)

I'm still trying to invite Urikai, and Riv's char into the guild I'll keep trying periodically when I'm around.

Edit: I've been playing Daetari the most recentally, so: "Daetari hi is the fastest way to see I'm around.

New client, hope it's going to be an improvement. Will give it another chance.

I haven't. I enjoyed it for a few days, then realised that actually I'd be enjoying bashing in Lusternia more. And hey ho, that is what I went and did. It had its use though.

They doubled xp/jp rates, and item drop rates, as one part of the Epic 3 additions.

Well, I try to look at the price of goods to determine the worth of currency. A full set of R2 equipment can cost you about 88,000 and a full set of R3 equipment can cost you about 1,800,000. You generally see skill cubes (used to combine cards) for anywhere from 150,000 to 300,000, and skill cards (depending on how good the skill they mod are) can go from 10,000 to 350,000(for rare cleric cards ) both the previous are what I’d call luxury items. So, to answer your question, 1 million is a heck of a lot, until you get into R3 items, level 50+. I've never had more then around 150,000 on me at any given time.

Got a CRC error on 99% in my download, wonder if it's a sign. Don't worry, Lusty > Rappelz, not going to disappear to anywhere else.
