how am I suppose to finish the quest, when I can't figure out about the blasted catapult I keeping give the blacksmith crystals and still nothing from anyone else? blasted it all help a dumb noob please

Whoa, whoa. Slow down. Yes, this quest is sometimes annoying, but you shouldn't let it drive you mad.

We can't give you an outlined walkthrough since posting quest information is generally forbidden. I can say this: giving the blacksmith crystals is part of the quest, yes, but not the start of it. Both quests begin in the Newton Caverns, the place with the normal finks and gnomes. You may want to backtrack there and see if there's anything that possibly stands out. Greet all of the named denizens a couple times and examine everything carefully (maybe even a few room descriptions!). Be warned, if you do decide to do the quest you'll be doing a lot of walking to and from places. It helps if you're not too close to level 21 as you'll be kicked out of Newton if you get that level. I've checked with every denizen on the gnomes side and still nothing and I've checked everything from the caverns to the mountain top and still nothing AHHHH This quest is starting to give me one big headache ohh and the only thing I've gotten is this book and still nothing

You know.. you don't -have- to do the quest. And you can try as often as you want....

You haven't greeted one denizen, I'm sure. Very sure.

First, punctuation is your friend.

Second, figure out what to do with the book before trying parts of the quest elsewhere, as you have to do stuff in order. I'm sure there is a gnome in a library in Newton that is looking for a book, even if their location isn't immediately apparent.
