I don't think you can offer gold to sanctify anymore

You can still offer gold period, but I'm not sure if you can offer it to sanctify. I know that I've offered gold as recently as a couple weeks ago, but I've never tried to sanctify with it.

The help files say you can, too.

Gold can only be offered for essence, it cannot be offered to sanctify nor defile any longer.
