Just for fun? I'd pay good credits for that artifact....... *drools*

How long do you think it takes for flowerpots and magic paintbrushes to pay for themselves?
technically, my flowerpot has paid for itself allready... Selling imbued items FTW!
Daganev2006-12-05 20:52:20
You know what would be nice? an auction with gold instead of credits, gold sinks are always good.

QUOTE(Estarra @ Dec 4 2006, 10:39 PM) 359972
How much would you really pay for an artifact that generates 5 credits per month? If it cost 100 credits, that means it would take over 1.5 years for it to make back it's initial cost. If it went on auction, maybe it'd go for 250 credits which means it would take over 4 years to pay for itself. At 10,000 credits, it would take over 166 years to pay for itself!
Perhaps instead of 5cr per month, people would pay for a one in a thousand chance of 5000cr per month. Try it!

Gloves of Power Reduction - Enchanters can now use half of their reserves or that from the powerstone when enchanting, must be worn to take effect. (Very useful in Enchanting indeed unless you have any other ideas?)
From HELP 19.10.4:
Gloves of Mastery: 400 credits
- Halves the drain from energy reserves for enchanters and alchemists.
- Must be worn.
Not a bad idea...but nobody gets them. Power just isn't that expensive as to make it worth a 400 credit artifact.
Maybe moreso for enchanters, but it'd take years upon years for an alchemist. Ely has done the math.

That already exists! Something like Gloves of Mastery and works for alchemists too.

I don't really want to go into detail. I'd prefer people not to know that I'm ripping them off or they'll demand I charge less. As it is, I bet half of you buggers will quote this thread to lower my prices.. *mumble*

I was and they're wrong.
Edit: sod it. Won't do much harm I suppose - Ok, Ild.. suppose you come up to me and say 'Oh Aiakon, you handsome handsome man.. please charge my cube for me.' I respond, 'Certainly darling Ildy, that will be 15000 gold if you supply the powerstones.' Gaily prancing back and forth, you nod your assent so vigorously that the myriad daffodils in your hair are shaken loose in a flowery halo of golden petals. But I'm a sly little Viscanti, and cackling to myself as I doctor my chapped lips with mending salve, I pocket your 15000 gold and half your powerstones. For Lo! I need but 5 to charge your cube, and not only do I save myself approximately 10000 golds' worth of powerstones, I also have 5 more to add to my collection and I don't have to sit about waiting for jewellers. With my gloves of mastery, I never run out of powerstones. While other enchanters are unable to work for the lack of them, I can continue to make an outrageous profit. Worth every credit. Seriously.

Just say you don't wear daffodils with the Helm of Urlach. Murphy would pick up a blunt shard of obsidian from the street to decapitate you for so much less.

This sounds like more of the start of some bad British porn than a powerstone proposition.

Murphy scratched pictures of flowers and dancing pixies into the helm with his knife. He also gave me a flower wreath to wrap around it. -duck-
