That's really not true that if they exist in another IRE game that means it is "easy" to make. We don't share code among us, except for certain universal features. Thus, each game is encouraged to develop along different tracts. If we wanted to create any item that Imperian has (for example), we'd do it from scratch.

Does setting up an escrow account cause you to lose the use of the artifacts that you have when you bid with the escrow credits?

From what I understand, it just tells you what you can possibly trade in. You can bid on them, and then end up paying in real credits, trade in artifacts, or if you default on that, the gods could just take your current artifacts from you had you won. Either way, you've got a way to pay for them, and it won't do anything silly like remove your artifacts for you.

If you win an auction just with escrow credits, you'll be given a grace period to settle your account. If an unreasonable time does pass, you will be contacted by Trader Bob's enforcers.

Someone tell me what crystall ball do exactly and this shroud thing.

Crystal Ball lets you see when mutual allies log in and out. The shroud is a permanent yesod effect.
